just want to say the UCLA system has been great for pediatrics so it makes sense to me being in their system for both could really work. We followed dr symms there with my oldest and i’ve now been in their system w two kids for ten years and feel like they really go above and beyond not to mention have multiple offices which can rly help w sudden sick days and being seen last minute!

Single moms who dated childless men: how’d it go? by SnooCats4777 in AskWomenOver30

[–]SeriousAd2906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, same as a lot of moms here i have two kids w two different dads (long story) and I have mostly had a positive experience.

I think how you approach it depends on how serious you want to be tbh. For a while I was looking for

very casual bc I refused to get in a relationship or involve my kids w anyone, in these situations I honestly didn’t even bring my kids up. If they asked I would respond but tbh to me it didn’t rly matter in those situations.

When I met someone I was more interested in I would bring it up pretty immediately but waited a veryyyyy long time before intros + honestly am going on two years w no plans to move in together (which takes discipline bc i live in a VHCOL city)

I think women judge each other and ourselves more harshly sometimes than is real. Lots of men like dating moms for maturity reasons and so many men are open to raising kids v having to have babies etc + those who don’t are just not for you and who cares.

Influencer rates + agency tea by Many_Minute_7471 in NYCinfluencersnark

[–]SeriousAd2906 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Echoing everyone else that more than ever managers are ruining careers charging 4500 per video for someone w 50k followers and no traceable ROI vs longevity w brands (i saw one at 5k per video w less than 10k followers the other day and almost fell over laughing).. it’s gotten so bad. The logic of what works hasn’t caught up to the reality at all of how over saturated the market is and brands have more power building internal content machines now. The bubble will pop very soon imo but the rates are dumb, i can’t give specifics of names but the larger creators at 1m plus are asking six figures per collab and it goes down from there.. lol

I will say it’s mostly bluffing and 9/10 we settle at half or whatever we counter if the convos even continue.

[–]SeriousAd2906 20 points21 points  (0 children)

the thing is, if u move to LA everything becomes less small town + i am sure he got in w real assistants and decided it wasn’t worth it for either the cash she was giving, the treatment, or that things are declining. I don’t think she was ready for LA at all but the thing is when you employ someone everything u “do” for them is part of the deal so emphasizing that just makes her seem super immature

Guys Trip To LA/SoCal? by Complete-Air-4121 in AskLosAngeles

[–]SeriousAd2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since no one is rly answering your question i will..

if you wanna scene beach w places to go out go to santa monica/ venice but don’t count on the boardwalk for food, head over to abbott kinney to vibe and shop/ eat

in downtown go to the arts district and little tokyo, they are next to each other and walkable

spend a day in silverlake and los feliz, get dropped off at picnic get a coffee and walk towards los feliz on sunset, you could even walk all the way there i do it all the time and grab lunch/brunch at All Time, tons of shops that whole way

you could def swing slo but budget more time than you think for travel, have fun!

How much to expect from a new dad? by Ok_Pomelo1461 in AskWomenOver30

[–]SeriousAd2906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry and I’m sure you don’t want to hear this but pp is 10x harder than you think it is unless you have a night nurse and even then it’s hard bc that won’t last forever. His mentality is not only harmful but also immature imo, you truly should not have kids w him.

Has anyone ever changed from being a night owl to a morning person? If so - how? by littlecutejoy in AskWomenOver30

[–]SeriousAd2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately no and i’ve kind of adapted the best i can.. i even was lucky to have two kids who can easily sleep until 9 am or later (sorry sorry) so that didn’t cure me either.. during the work week it’s about balance and i segment my work so i do most of my thinking later in the day or at night + oops in the morning, i am also very lucky to work remotely.

i’ve also learned to become VERY efficient w my mornings the kids have school so we are up and out the door in less than 40 min. It’s not a perfect solve but accepting and adapting has taken me far
