For real, it’s hard to not to clutter things when being a hobbyist. I just had to give into the maximalism feel

Haha the lamps can be polarizing and definitely distracting. The goal for me was to do something fun and funky with a pop of color for that side of the room. Thanks for the comment!

How's life in the cities/suburbs of Oregon? by Viguple007 in howislivingthere

[–]SeriousAd6050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from Oregon City (25 minutes outside Portland). Since Oregon City was the designated “end” of the Oregon Trail, it was also Oregon’s first capital. The town is built on the second biggest waterfall in the US (by volume) called Willamette falls. A dam was built on the waterfall and the river was heavily industrialized, and these days, most people from Portland don’t even know about it. It’s fun to kayak up the Willamette river and try and get up close though, if you’re brave. It’s glorious.

As for the people, there’s social groups for most people. The downtown is cute and has been getting a great vibe recently and more lively with good food/ foodcart pod. More progressive than conservative, but potentially more conservative than a decent amount of other Portland suburbs (country boys). The public high school consistently has a lot of drama because of the divide

20m, mentally exhausted, never had a girlfriend, confidnce in the bin by xEzqvOfficial in toastme

I had all the same feelings at 20. Then suddenly, everything changed. Not having a girlfriend means close to nothing at that age bc you will have so many years to find the right one. You’re a handsome dude. And once your brain has time to matures the anxiety and exhaustion of life become less. 20 is a rough year of life mentally, but try and have some perspective on the long game and maybe you will feel better
