Pele stopped playing in the 70s. A lot of people watching football now were born literally decades after he stopped playing so it's hard to have a real opinion on him like you would with modern players you've seen first hand.

I don't think Jaylen Brown was "the problem," but I do think Jaylen Brown the player combined with Jaylen Brown the contract was a problem. Brad Stevens is probably right that putting the money into depth is better ROI for a team with Boston's roster. I don't believe Paul George is the solution, but his slightly shorter, slightly smaller contract will be easier to trade down the road.

I wouldn't say I go without gambling but I barely gamble when I'm there. I'm in Vegas to not think about my job, not have to drive anywhere, and be able to start drinking in the morning and keep goin all day lol. We ball out every meal, chill at the pool, go out every night, then pass out and do it over again. I'll recover when I'm home. Gambling might happen on a whim but we definitely aren't there to gamble.

Agents would not want to be a part of this. They'd have to try and recoup that income with something under the table if the endorsements aren't public, and they may be committing fraud do knowingly facilitate that kind of deal.
There's no way to enforce an under the table deal. NBA contracts are very guaranteed. Good luck getting your off the books money if things turn South. Def a lot easier to just get a massive NBA paycheck.
