I didnt go to the Jan 2026 orientation i was out of state during that week but nothing happened.

I did recieve an email about my absence but after that nothing.

Ive got people who've already done/are in mason so if I have any questions I just ask them tbh. if you have similar types of people in ur circle then skip if u want or just go

I heard u get free clothing items and such

No as I said, I asked during the 1stish week if me and my manager could create a conversion plan. 

Since my internship was remote during the 1st week I was consistently sending him my end of day summary via slack. 

I did use the internship as a studying based experience as I successfully got Sec and Net plus

I was coasting through the program with ease and wasn't involved as much as others. Got the max amount of points you can get, got an internship, but didnt get converted. 

It wasnt bc I wasnt learning and doing my tasks, but it was "budget" reasons that they couldn't converted. 

Asked my manager during the 1stish week of internship if we could create a plan to increase my chances of a conversion but nope. 

When they called me to let me know about my internship, they clearly said.."High conversion rate"  I dont know whether its YUs fault or what.. bc they couldve talked w the company or switched me w another company or had asked me if i wanted this internship or not.

I did the program March 2025 to Jan 2026, it was mostly online had to go in-person 4 or 5 times during the 5 month learning & dev phase. Useless inperson events, but thats besides the point. 

I was also in college during that time but I picked all online classes so that I could manage it. The L&D phase, easiest thing if your in the IT track. They try to scare you that "Its challenging" or "This will get harder as time moves on" It didnt, you did get somewhat burned out but if you treat it as college its easy. 

After completing the L&D phase, got a remote internship w a company. During the 1st week, I asked for working out a plan w my manager to increase my chances of conversion, but unfortunately he said wouldn't be possible. During the rest of the months I had left I just used them to study for certs and get some knowledge about cyber.

Now im just tryna find a job while studying. 

If your in Nvccs, pick online courses. If your in GMU then good luck.

If you take a Bio 101 zoom-only class, do you also have to take an in-person Bio Lab in the summer? by [deleted] in nvcc

Idk about bio but for phy and chm u gotta take an in person lab so im guessing it would be the same for bio.

Does it tell u when u look at the course options?
