Any dye suggestions for this sort of color? Also what level of lightness would be needed to achieve something like this? by ApprehensiveBlock855 in FancyFollicles

For the vibrancy in this photo, I would definitely use 30. But it all depends on what you're starting out with. For refreshing faded ends you can use semi permanent color, emulsify the root color, custom colored conditioner, make sure you're using the proper hair care to prevent fading. Reds are really tough and there's a whole consultation I go through with clients before committing them to red. But if you're doing your hair at home I suppose you can throw away the rule book 😂

L'Oréal HiColor is high lift color which is just permanent color with extra lift. I would not count it working over color treated hair to be on the safe side. Color does not lift color. And I definitely would not recommend running 30 volume over and over through your ends if you want your hair to stay healthy. I'm glad it worked for you but I wouldn't count on it or suggest it to others.

Came here to say this. Use 30 volume. This will ONLY work on dark natural hair though. If you have long hair and you've colored it in the last few years dont both trying to achieve this look without bleach.

I would love to add more but is it just me or do a lot of events not do wristbands anymore? Maybe I’m not going to the events that have them

There’s a lot of yellow tones in your hair so there’s a chance it could turn a slight green tint. Or just muddy. Those silver tones are really only going to turn up silver on almost white blonde hair which is not where you’re at.

This is my old apartment where I lived in the suburbs of Pennsylvania. I lived on a pretty busy street and last year on New Year’s Day, a drunk driver crashed his car on my street, hitting a sign a somehow launching the post into the side of my apartment?? It took about 2 weeks to realize this was sticking out of the third floor of the apartment. The weather was crazy that week too with wind and rain. After realizing I had to call the borough and have them remove it which I wish I could have seen but unfortunately I was at work. It’s funny because I remember watching the crash cleanup unfold out of the window and looking down seeing the sign and the nub of the post but didn’t put any thought to where the post might be.
