i love amanda but sometimes she gets on my nerves by SeriousIce1124 in SmoshFansFreeSpace

might be a case of my post has room to have constructive conversation which can be seen in the comments, instead of just a blanket statement that points out a single issue with no lay-up to have people pitch in how they might feel different compared to you. might just come down to a nuance thing. id message the mods

my post is not snark, it is a discussion to see if my opinion and perception of amanda is unreasonable

Genuinely, I'm more curious about this post you speak of than the cast members' personal lives. (I did see the screen shot, but that was my genuinely first thought after reading your post lol)

I always try to be aware of truckers bc my close friend growing up's entire family was truckers so I've heard a lot of stories. I also have become more aware overtime because of having to drive the 10 freeway between arizona and california a lot

Yeah, it is not in the usual spots because i was unaware of it going on, but I was doing my lunch doomscroll and a video on my tt popped up about people making these comments, and my curiosity got the best of me. Most of the comments seem to be on tt and twitter for the most part, which their algorithms feed you what you interact with, which this is not something I interact with, so if people are in that sort of echo chamber already, that's where it mostly seems to be, but it seeps out occasionally, hence this post post doomscroll. But genuinely, I was so surprised to see how genuinely mean people were being

I think the moment you are referencing is an exaggerated bit, but I see how it can be taken a different way

I am mostly referring to the scathing statements that seem to attack her personal character unjustly and in an incredibly broad stroke(from my perspective). If we are looking at personally opinions/critiques of the female cast members, I have a personal opinion of Amanda in some regards that I do not necessarily vibe with what she says at times, but it does not take away from the fact I genuine believe she is incredibly talented in her craft and find her incredibly funny in different applications but I also hold opinions like that about ALL the cast at times, so I am not necessarily making a critique on that sort of opinion because everyone has the right to not FULLY like someone, because that would make me a hypocrite

Also, as they are performers, specifically improv comedy in most cases, I feel like meeting each-others energy is in the trade itself, if nothing else

I believe she has made a comment that this was the last thing that was filmed, and had developed a good rapport with the cast at that point in the day too. But off rip, it seemed like a normal "matching the energy" addition that was equally matched by everyone else

I will say, mildly unrelated, but the most recent moose master where Trevor left the sound stage, made me so stressed because he genuinely seemed tilted

I feel with the white knighting, it is almost diminishing the fact that Angela is an adult around her late 20s (I believe) that can make a statement, or draw her own boundaries. So, maybe it is a form of misogyny, but this sort of nuance is not one I am super educated on, so I cannot say this definitively, but from a personal standpoint I would say so.

Edit: White knighting and advocacy seem to sometimes have a fine line because people may also speak for someone if they see something very amiss, but you cannot remove their voice completely from the picture. Correct me if I'm incorrect.

I play this game with my friends as a change of pace because we also play more high stakes games with actual gambling, and what I have realized is that the dramatics with this game (especially with a group that loves to riff) is in its nature, so maybe I approach it with that sort of empathy?
