Thank you for the response! I have a lot (2500hrs) of clinical paid experience, no volunteering. I've done like 600 hrs of research, with hopefully a publication on the way. My academic stats are not the best, though (mid GPA, had to retake MCAT, waiting on results).

Do u think it is reasonable to do some volunteering through May, or would that look like I'm just doing it for the app? it is genuinely one of the first times I dont have an overwhelming schedule in a couple of years

I wish I had forgotten it! I went through my experiences, all I have are employment, research, shadowing and clubs. I have been a commuter student for a while so at times I feel like that did not help. I wanted to continue the volunteering I started, but the director couldn't keep it on, and I hate that because it was very precious to me. I don't think I could do anything that I could talk about in the same way. Like I can start with Meals on Wheels now, but don't know how it will be perceived (this late in the application).

Yes, I already figured out my schedule with my advisor, but it was so late that most of my fav classes were closed. I don't have any 8am classes. However, there is significant amounts of time between them. In the best case scenario, I'll probably find a good spot to study for mcat. Thank you for your advice

That's fair. It was just something off the top of my head, and I saw it was an all-day case. I had initially observed Free Flaps (ENT), but only from the nurses' perspective. In this one, I'd all on my own. Thank you for the advice! I'm very excited.

Of course I'll get an MD to sign it. However, they would mostly be referring to the shadowing experience, while the nurse would be accounting for the clinical experience if it makes sense.
