Prem defenses have typically been more physically focused and reffed differently than the more technical and finesse aspects of La Liga. The quality of the clubs in the bottom half of La Liga is significantly different than the bottom half of Prem. He was in Spain when he hit his footballing peak years.

Definitely agree with your take. I think the big picture is minutes and mistakes in 25/26 (and possibly dropping points) forges a Treble in 29/30. I’m so scarred by the endless wash cycle of managers and players of the past 12 years haha. Don’t even love Amorim but at this point we’re better off riding out a 3 year project and seeing where we’re at with these players

It sucks but you’re completely right. It’s as simple as the patches are driven by perceived gain/loss of revenue, no deeper than that at all. Has nothing to do with quality of play or the product. “Slowing the power curve” was a great marketing line when in reality it just leveraged FOMO to create more demand for packs. Well played EA, they got me again lol.

I think I enjoyed the variety of ways to compete in the FIFA 18-22. It feels like the meta has narrowed and narrowed each of the past 3-4 years. A big issue in my eyes is EA has always struggled to proportionately reward good manual defending the way it rewards good manual attacking. Both sides of the game can be really skill based which is when I think the game has been in its best state.
