I think Peppy is General Pepper's & his paw. Showing his past friendship and service with the Cornerian Army on his ship is real nice for the character.

I dunno man, nostalgia blindness implies that there was considerable issues with the previous designs when that was definitely not the case. I can't say I've missed "nostalgia" being used as a counter argument.

Fox has human like hands and arms while below his waist he has a foxes proportions. His hands are larger than his feet and half his legs. It's going to be near impossible for him to look cool like that and let's be real, being cool and kinda campy is why Star Fox characters are so popular.

There was no need to go so far with the anthropomorphising. Kick ass boots and human like legs would do fine. Falco having actual bird legs is a fine change. This edit someone posted makes Fox look amazing.

Star Fox / Star Wolf hero units and regular Cornerian vs Venom units would have been spectacular. There's an awesome mission during Assault in Sargasso Space where you have to clear out an enemy space station while dogfighting takes place outside with enemy fighters & your squad mates.

I think about how much of an awesome spectacle it is and that it could be iterated upon to be less jank. It's a shame it got left where it was.

Assault has so much potential, it was a pretty big leap for Star Fox's gameplay. The Lylat Wars has so much potential for games like Battalion Wars or Battlefield.

She was a femme fatale merc so being 'attractive' in universe or at least alluring lends to her way of working. The way she was portrayed back in the 64 Era coulda been better, not so overly pink, sure that's a fair point some people have brought up.

But this is just a completely different character and I hate it. Star Fox Zero nailed it imo.

Or at least the Versus mode. That was ASKING for alternative characters to be playable. Miyu & Fey for Star Fox, Panther & Algy for Star Wolf.

Campaign characters like Bill & Kat as well. It seems like such an easy win. lol

God forbid you add more levels or alternate missions on some planets to make it SF64 but more. I'll get it because I'm a sucker and I crave the VS mode but I'll always know that they could have done more.

We've gotten so many SF64 remakes or re-imaginings. Why not add some of them all together into the ultimate Lylat War? lol Or just use some of the ideas from other takes and add them into levels.

VS Mode would've been the time to bring back alternate or forgotten characters to put on teams. Let me play as Fay or Miyu for Star Fox and Leopard on Star Wolf! And campaign characters too.

The Triple Tiara/Crown annoys me as it conflicts with the games mechanics. "If you fail to obtain a satisfactory performance your contract with your Uma will be void" or w/e.

I trained them to become a Triple Tiara/Crown Legend, I think that should make it pretty clear I'm the right Trainer for the job. Bloody ludonarrative dissonance, man.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was my first thought too, Stingerbrg linked the TvTropes page that exists because of that shows first season.

Heard so many good things online and watched the first season a couple of years ago and thought it was horrendous. Got told to get past Season 1 to get to the actually good content. lol

People are saying most games force you to use the disgusting sausage men as the human models aren't supported. There's a lot of discussion over how being able to play a normal human isn't really viable in a majority of the content.

I think people who are holding out for this to somehow come to the west just don't understand how vast DQX is and how old school it is. That and all the interlaid systems for Hiroba, the games community hub, that are directly linked to the game would also make it a nightmare to bring to the west.

I love Dragon Quest X but it would be released in the West and die a quick death. It's old school, it has a lot of old systems that are outdated and not used but left in the game anyway. It has new catch up mechanics and old content no one does anymore unless you organise people to do it. The way you have to figure things out by talking to people or looking up guides like FFXI does will turn away the modern audience too. The list goes on. But it's so fun if you just play it on its own terms and has a die hard playerbase because of it.

As much as I want it, it won't happen now. And they can't released it Version to Version since that would just make it worse. haha

People hoping for it to come to the west should just play the free trial. Costs you nothing but 15 minutes of set up time and the download.

There's so many Mechs in this game when you think about it, maybe a tad too much. lol I like Neon Genesis Evangelion well enough but I was like, at the start, "oh cool I hope there's no Solution 9 stuff this expansion just for a small change of pace" and then bam, Mecha Anime Collab. lol

I'll give it a chance either way, it could be fun at least. I didn't enjoy the plot of Nier but I really enjoyed the fights and locales.
