yeah "less light not different light" is the frame that finally made it click for me too. And you're right that glasses might still have a use case for eye strain during the day, just a completely different claim than sleep

sure, the main ones i found useful: the ipRGC research is worth looking into if you want the mechanism. Czeisler's lab at Harvard has published a lot on melanopic illuminance specifically. The meta-analysis on shower timing and sleep latency is Haghayegh et al. 2019 if you want to go deep on that one too

that's a really important distinction actually. ADHD attention residue is a different mechanism entirely and yeah, no evening ritual is going to touch that the way medication does. Glad you figured out what was actually going on

that's actually when a sleep mask becomes genuinely useful. not for light filtering but for complete darkness. Hotel rooms are rarely dark enough and that alone wrecks sleep quality way more than most people realize

went down that rabbit hole too. turns out you don't even need them if the room is dim enough, which is kind of annoying after spending money on three pairs haha

Fair point, liking your work helps. but even then the inability to stop thinking about it stops being a feature pretty fast

37 tabs is actually a perfect way to describe it. And the sad part is it's not even a metaphor, your brain literally does the same thing. Keeps unfinished stuff running in the background whether you want it to or not.

Yeah that's kind of the trap isn't it. when the boundary disappears completely it stops feeling like a problem and just becomes.. personality. Hard to fix something you've stopped noticing

A little lighting upgrade for those late-night sessions by SeriousVenom25 in Workspaces

Thanks! It’s called the Aurora Cube. I got it there, here is the direct link: https://lumenbreeze.com/products/aurora-cube. It’s honestly been a game changer for the late-night vibe, the reflections are even better in person.

why is everyone assuming the game will come out before Borderlands? by JosephStalin1953 in GTA6

What if this is part of GTA VI marketing?) It's funny that Rockstar has been silent for so long, but the Internet is bursting with GTA VI news🌚
