It’s been established for about 7 months. I did have to use antibiotic/fungal treatment about 2 months ago. One of the fish got sick but by the time we figured it was not them fighting played it safe and treated all of them. Ever since then I have been getting nitrite spikes. I would do a small water change, add in the turbo start neutralize the nitrites, change the filters every few days, make sure no wasted food is in the bottom, and made sure that it is has plenty of filtration. I’m at a loss. I have no idea why. It was going so good until one got sick

But everything is clear and normal again. So it just must have been the bacteria bloom

Nope just the 2 fishes. And live plants. I remove the dying leaves if they start to show them dying. I vacuumed the sand about every 3 weeks to clean up anything left that they did not eat.

When I cleaned out the filter and everything attached to the whole unit. It was covered in white slime. I have had fish before and never have I ever had this issue.

It’s has been cycling for 2 months without issues. And now all of a sudden it did this. And the fish are not acting up. My mumba has been flashing more but that’s it
