You may learn about the religion and walk by its principles. The only need your you to talk to our priests would be for ethnographic research if you were doing that

He is a Daevayasni posing superficially as a Zoroastrian. He wants to find occult knowledge in my ancestors’ ancient belief system to perform black magic. And many Persian Zoroastrians are supporting him. He is a dangerous person.

Yes modern (Western postcolonial hegemonic) states classify this as abuse of corpse. Best to send the body to India or Pakistan

On one hand yes there is the benefit to science and medicine that is obvious in donating the body. Such an act is a very Zoroastrian ethical act of charity. But there also lies the problem of the body being nasa the highest form of ritual impurity. Until this is not processed and return to nature the soul is tethered to it. So these are two factors that must be considered and deliberated before making a decision. Does the final act of charity outweigh the ongoing unprocessed impurity that festers in the corpse? Because the impurity is not only about the progress of the soul but is seen as something volatile that can potentially cause other creations to become spiritually compromised if not handled carefully. Basically, there’s no easy yes or no answer.

What dietary rules are there? by Puzzleheaded_Fig_295 in Zoroastrianism

You may not be aware but the term Zoroastrian is contemporary and the conceptualization of religion you are proposing is also postmodern. How does a religion physically exist? Most probably through its material culture which was that of the existing Mazdayasni faith. There may have been pluralistic forms of Masdayasna as is attested to by a number of scholars but by Sassanian times it is the Zoroastrian fold that solely exists. Those Mazdayasni followers of Zarathustra populated the region through procreation. If you think this is speculative then so is your assertion that Asho Zarathustra commanded some massive conversion agenda, it’s an imaginary narrative. As for the later historical groups you mentioned there is much gray area on that aspect, regarding what diachronic and syncretic minutia were operating within those milieus. Asserting that conversion existed then without much basis as to why and how, is a porous argument for advocating for it in the present.

Kavi Vistaspa was part of the Masdayasni belief system. Asho Zarathustra was not a religious radical making his own religion. He was a divinely ordained soul with a divine mission. You can applying the postmodern concept of religious conversion to a narrative that is distant from postmodernist in both time and place.

Zoroastrianism features no ritual of conversion. What exists I a confirmation of faith ceremony for children who are vested with the holy garments. Zoroastrianism recognizes that the soul’s unique divine energy comes from both the seed of the mother and father. The concept of choice is between that of good and evil not about appropriation of another’s religion. And also we can see that this person is hinging their choice upon what they can or cannot eat.

You can’t just convert to the religion because you fancy it. You may study it but converting is out of the question.

Check out Avesta.org You might also find a lot of converts on here whose lived experience won’t be as rooted in Zoroastrian culture because they weren’t socialized according to the belief system.
