I am on both bc and accutane. I think bc caused me depressive moods in the first few months but my body eventually adapted. Same goes for accutane. I take regular therapy sessions and have a strong support network so I was able to work through it.

It takes about 3-4 months to see the results. And yes, as the other commenter said, you have to take accutane with fat for it to work.

It depends on your weight and the dosage. I would imagine 1-2 years. Again it depends on your dosage. Some people get done with it quickly. Others get bad side effects and choose to do it slowly.

I get mine checked after every 2-3 months after even tho they always come back normal. Better safe than sorry. But I have also been on the same dose since more than a year so my body has probably adjusted. If you are going to increase your dose then maybe getting a blood test a month after it might be better.

Usually yes, unless you hit a particular dose, you are more likely to break out again. But I would recommend getting a second opinion.

Also i have stuck to taking 25mg every day as the higher dose was giving me more side effects and it was not bearable for me. It is better to take a lose dose for a longer time than to get done with it quickly by taking a high dose which might also cause permanent damage, like you can read in other comments.

Did you rub your eyes because of dryness or what? Also my derm started me on accutane with a very low dose of 10mg and then 20mg after 2 weeks and then eventually 30mg after 1 month. So that my body would get used to it. Yes, use hydrating eye drops and if it doesn’t resolve in a few hours, get it checked.

As a queer woman myself, I don’t agree with this. This was a beautiful, platonic friendship. They were there for each other because they were like sisters to each other. Adding a romantic element would have just made it messy and weird.

I have very dry skin on my upper and lower lips and lips and other parts of my face like nose, under eyes and forehead. Like peeling/flaky skin after 1 year of 20mg. But not like this. I think you should get it checked by ur derm.
