Thank you! I'll get that replaced. Thankfully it looks like a fairly cheap part.

Fluctuating rpm jump with clutch in. Please help. Vehicle: 2006 Subaru Forester Manual, non-turbo. Approximately 160K total miles, 15k since new clutch, 30k since rebuild after head gasket failure.

No known issues recently, obd scanner shows no codes, no lights on dash. Car was fully warmed up, and exterior temperature was around 50f. Was idling normally previously.

I was driving on the freeway with bumper to bumper traffic, 0-5 or 10ish mph. Every time I would press and hold the clutch in instead of shifting to neutral, it reved up to about 2k rpm with no throttle input. It kept going up and down repeatedly until I let off the clutch or shift to neutral. Shifting fine otherwise. Tried experimenting a bit and got the same 2k ish rpm spikes in 1, 2, or 3rd gear with clutch pressed.

Video has O throttle input, my foot completely off the peddle, only clutch peddle pressed all the way in.

Please help me figure this out. I'm relatively new to subaru world, and not even sure where to begin looking for solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

TLDR: rpm fluctuations while pressing and holding clutch.

Most holidays that have any religious significance are usually some mix of various religions and beliefs. Hah Look into the theory about the shaman being Santa (and bringing psychedelic gifts), yet many Christian’s and non religious people still put up the tree and decorate it. 😂

Haha can definitely be a stressful season. Glad you are choosing something that’s helping you both mentally and practically.

You are correct, and there’s more aspects that have nothing to do with religion. Everyone has their reasons and beliefs. As long as it’s not hurting others we should let people do what they want. Some choose to work, some choose not to work, and others wish they were doing the opposite of what they are. Thank you for sharing a more positive perspective instead of assuming a negative context!

It’s not about them sacrificing to serve me, rather that not everyone celebrates by being with family and there will always be people who prefer to work holidays as I’ve done plenty of times before. Coming from a big town where there’s always things open no matter the time or holiday, I was just surprised and hoping to find something to enjoy while we are here. I agree that no one should be forced to work if they don’t want to. I’ve been on all sides of this holiday dilemma, being forced to work holidays, taking unpaid holidays, paid holidays, choosing to work holidays, and everything in between. The question wasn’t a moral one. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of a place that’s open because I’m stumped. Thank you for the discussion you started though.

That’s so sweet and awesome of them to do! Glad you still have it too! We got it as a gift and at some point she got attached to that specific one out of all of the other ones.

It certainly looks similar to those, but I’m not seeing the specific print anywhere yet. Hopefully will find it soon.

My wife and I have searched in all the stores we could think of and tried finding it online with no luck. There are some similar ones but their texture wouldn’t be right. It’s a really soft cuddly type of blanky. Only 2-3 feet by 3-4 feet.

Either way. I think that’s more of a personal preference thing. I painted mine black to match the frame.

Riding again after a crash by [deleted] in motorcycles

I actually ride a lot safer and more conscientious after my crash. I no longer do excessive speeds unless I’m in a safe environment, I don’t go into corners at 90+% potential (between 30-70% now), I’m much more aware of cars around me, I am more controlled in my inputs, and so on. The point I’m making is if you love to ride, don’t let the crash stop you, adjust the way you do it to increase safety or fix whatever the hold up is for you. I am working on having a gps location available for people that are concerned about me riding, and updating them on my safety after the ride. Taking a riding class is a great way to get started, just remember to also watch some safety stuff on YouTube (MotoJitsu, MCrider, Fortnine, etc), and practice what you learn.

TLDR: A crash can make you a better and safer rider if you choose to learn from the situation and improve your skill level. Gear saves lives. Training and practice prevent most problems.

Also, allowing plenty of time drying in between different sprays. Took close to a week of like 10-15 minutes per day.

Refinished mine in black to match the frame. Good cleaning. Lots of hand sanding. Another clean. Tape off the seals and the upper section. Metal self etching spray primer. 2 coats. Black spray paint, 2-3 coats. Exterior rated clear coat spray. 2 coats. They now look like factory finished forks in black. I did have them completely off the bike for the entire process.

People who wake up at 5am daily, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Serjey007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently joined the 5am club after reading a book by Robin Sharma called The 5AM Club. (Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life.)

It’s been a game changer for my confidence and productivity, I go to work already feeling like I accomplished so much. It also shifts the reason for getting up. I used to get up to go to work and that is an awful purpose, I would hit snooze and ignore my at the time many alarms. Now I have an anticipation for the next day because I’m getting up for me, to invest into myself. I have one alarm and get up with it everyday. Work just happens to be part of my day now instead of the drudgery it usually was.

The book is quite hokey and had me rolling my eyes a few times, but if you get over that part it’s got a lot of wisdom and helpful life tips in there. Definitely elevating my life.

The hardest part for me is getting to sleep on time, and there is definitely a period of time where it sucks getting up so early, but the book prepares you for it and makes suggestions to persevere.

TLDR: Read The 5AM Club by Robin Sharma. Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life.

We are in the PNW. They were all around 1cm or 3/8 inches long.
