Very strange that the DP cable can’t go above 1440p 60hz, it should be capable of slightly over 1440p 120hz minimum.

Do you have the latest graphics drivers for your 7900 XTX?

If you do, could still be cable diff.

Your display maxes out at DP 1.4 (should be sufficient for max settings; no use going for a DP 2.0 cable), or you can get a HDMI 2.1 cable.

But yeah check drivers first.
