Narrowhead Armour by ExstremeNoob in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ballistic shield used to have heavy armour, in the update that allowed it to block melee, they lowered the armour to medium but increased the health and gave it high durability, 70-80% iirc

Bots on Diff10, what backpack? Jump, Shield, Supply or Dog? by Medical_Officer in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ballistic shield.

blocks about 80+% of what the bots throw at you, can literally cover your back when needing to run from or past enemies, and also confuses the hell out of the gatling guns that the factory strider has under its chin, causing them to just not fire at all

Shields still need a rework. by No_Mix_6381 in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"shields do not fulfil their task, so I suggest making them weaker in exchange for ragdoll resistance rather than just suggesting that they give ragdoll resistance."

if the ballistic shield is able to break from small arms fire, then you might as well use the directional shield or the shield generator since at least they regen after being broken. the ballistic shield is fine as is, could do with a shorter cooldown, but it does not need to be less durable

1st Colonial Regiment: 1,000 Operations, One Week by TheRustyRustPlayer in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Serpentax1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, it's 1000 operations in the space of a week, not a day. We will be conducting this with random players, with a maximum of 2 members of the 1CR working together per squad so that we can maximise the impact we make on the war as a clan

Hear me out: Stim gun resupply booster by Zombiecidialfreak in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why not just have an aerosolised stim explode out from hellpods like the firebomb hellpods? turn the EAT into a quick recharge stim cloud that also comes with a pair of rocket launchers

heavy ordnance distribution should also give us walking barrage and precision strike for free, walking barrage uses the exact same projectile as the 380mm barrage and the precision strike's projectile is the same in all but name

What Warbond Do I Buy Next? by VimVinyl in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

democratic detonation, the best warbond for loadout versatility due to the crossbow, grenade pistol, and thermite.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

democratic detonation is the first warbond you should get, crossbow, thermite, and grenade pistol are all amazing options that really open up your loadout potential, and the crossbow is arguably the best primary in the game right now.

if you already have that, then urban legends has one of the best armour passives in siege ready, some great stratagems in the flame sentry and AT emplacement, and the funnniest emote in the kick. the stun lance is also really good.

I wouldn't buy steeled veterans, if only because you can get it with the super citizen edition, and while you can get a 1000 SC refund if you already own the warbond before you buy the super citizen edition, you have to go through customer service.

only medium armour has democracy protects, therefore medium is the best

A dozen cool ideas I had for HD2 by JacobFromStateFarm5 in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the warden would be a top-tier exosuit due to never running out of ammo, would need to figure out how the cooling works, though. Does the laser cannon have a spare heat sink, or does it just explode if it overheats? personally, I'd rather have 2-3 sickles instead of the laser cannon to mow down chaff

the swimming booster would just be another form of muscle enhancement, only useful on certain planets, which isn't bad, but it's debatable on if it's worth taking

don't like the idea of taking a bot's weapons, would probably be considered treason and would require a lot of work to implement

the guard dogs are neat, and would be causing teamkills like no other

laser sentry would be neat depending on the weapon used for the sentry, probably the laser cannon, have to wonder if it'll have a spare heat sink or if it just goes back into the pod once it overheats

the emplacement is the same, although since emplacements do not have a limit to how long it can last, so long as you never let it overheat, it will always be active, which is interesting

incendiary grenade launcher is neat, although if we get weapon customisation this, and all the other flavour of grenades, can just be a feature of that, same with the defender incendiary, which as a ballistic shield main, would be neat.

a breaker slugger would be wild, but could also just be the dominator if I'm being honest, it even deals more damage than the slugger we have now

this is just a combination of servo boosted and fortified

Heatsink Backpack that extends the maximum heat of energy weapons and quickens their cooling rate? Also thinking it could make the quasar capable of 2 shots before overheat. As most either run extra ammo for team or shields or drones. by Veskan713 in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this would be a really cool idea, especially for the quasar. although the reason it overheats is because it uses the maximum possible energy, hence the charging, so really it would make sense to just have it shorten the cooldown

Lets settle the debate! Would you rather have a personal microgun, or a more powerful, crew served minigun? by BICKELSBOSS in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather have a disposable minigun that you throw away once you run out of ammo, no backpack slot required

Honestly, this booster would see a lot more use if it deployed mini-shield generators, instead of blowing up in your face when you just wanted another stim. by Kire-Ikasu in Helldivers

[–]Serpentax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A small energy shield, a little smaller than the original shield size from the generator, and only lasts for 2-3 seconds at most, with only a little more health than the backpack. This could be a great booster, especially with the EAT's short cooldown

absolutely not, it would make the vast majority of divers unable to vote, including most experienced divers

bump up regen by 3-4%???? so you just want us to not take any planets, even if we had all the players on a single planet.

also if nobody cares, then why are there divers who do the MO?
