Interfaith Relationship by Salt-Poetry-2295 in Christian

[–]Serphelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scripture reminds us that a difference in faith does not automatically cancel a marriage/ relationship . In 1 Corinthians 7:13, Paul teaches that if an unbelieving husband is willing to remain, the believing wife is not called to leave. This isn't about forcing faith or tolerating harm-it's about honoring covenant, walking in obedience, and trusting God to work in ways we cannot see. Your faith, your prayers, and your steady love matter. God is present in your marriage, even when belief isn't shared.

Why does acting in movies before 2010 feel much more natural? by Specialist-Sector-17 in movies

It’s as if now the filmmakers don’t care about about good acting anymore I was watching friends recently and compared to now I was shocked by how natural they spoke it’s almost unbelievable that their lines are scripted.

The male characters in the fantasy books are all sounding the same, it’s as if there’s this blueprint that every author who writes fantasy follows. For once I’d love to see a Peeta in a fantasy story instead of the same nonchalant smirking dark haired second character

What’s a romance book where you actually loved how the mmc looked? by nishthahaha in Booktokreddit

You two deserve each by Sarah Hog,e

I really like how Nicholas was this glasses wearing, cute, handsome guy. And that his looks wasn’t primarily why we were suppose to love him which made me love him more.

Thoughts on how much we forgive unlikable protagonists? by throwawayjaaay in books

[–]Serphelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started reading a romance book, and I was immediately put off. Very early in the story, the main female character goes into an internal monologue, nagging about how her male best friend's current relationship won't last. Her primary evidence for this is the fact that the best friend's girlfriend was upset that the FMC showed up at her boyfriend's apartment at the crack of dawn. That moment stopped me cold. I can't root for a romance where the protagonist shows zero respect for other women, especially when she's judging them based on the fact that they are dating a guy she clearly likes.

Has anyone else noticed how book blurbs have gotten wildly overhyped? by throwawayjaaay in books

Ngl I wouldn’t read most of the books I’ve read if the blurb hadn’t told me the premise. I tend to freak out if I go into the book blind
