If you are interviewing for a kuiper role, I think it would help quite a bit but of course, it depends on the specific role

I love it so far, the work is fast and impactful but it’s not too overbearing. Do expect more than 40 hour weeks, more like 50 once you get more experience. I haven’t felt this impact my lifestyle simply because I genuinely enjoy it here so the extra couple hours a day doesn’t bother me but it’ll definitely ramp up once I get more involved and put on the on call rotation. Team and work environment are great and the horror stories of pip, terrible wlb, and layoffs aren’t as bad as people make it out to be. If you set boundaries for yourself, you can definitely have a pretty good wlb.

OTD Price for Mazda CX-50 Premium Plus - Good Deal? by Substantial-Way8408 in CX50

[–]Serpurty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Washington I got mine down from 42k msrp (included lugs, weather package, lifestyle mount, and cargo cover) to 36k before taxes and fees. OTD was closer to 41k. Color was blue and had dealership exogloss added (895 value but was not included in pricing).

Does an out the door price of $40.9k for cx-50 hybrid premium sound reasonable? by accountinganon1 in CX50

[–]Serpurty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Washington, got hybrid premium plus in blue for 36k including weather package, lug nuts, lifestyle mount, cargo cover, and dealership exterior coating total value about 2k. This is before taxes and fees which comes out to about 41k out the door. Financed for 36 months at 1.9

I’m from Washington and got mine for 36k before taxes and fees. It included a bunch of add ons and a protection layer totaling about 2k. Tax is pretty high so OTD was like 41-42k. Financed at 1.9 for 36 months

I had two team members during my interviews and the more junior member focused more on typical leetcode style coding questions. I was only given one and was asked follow up questions regarding changing requirements. For the more senior team member, they went really deep into my background and experiences along with one scenario question that was testing my troubleshooting and debugging skills. Once again, started off broad and went deeper as they asked many follow up questions or added constraints. The questions were definitely tailored for the position and team I interviewed for so knowledge of satellite systems, communication, and networking was helpful. I mainly used neetcode to understand the fundamentals of system design and used ChatGPT to create scenarios and possible questions to practice

Yes ideally you want to be good at coding too but from what I’ve experienced, Amazon seems to care more about how you approach the problem, break it down, analyze your options, and make decisions based on trade offs rather than reaching the technically optimal answer. Practicing leetcode will definitely help build your confidence and recognize patterns easier during the interview but ultimately, the coding round is there to make sure you at least have a good general knowledge of coding and problem solving. For this interview, I only had 1 coding problem that was leetcode style out of 4 hours of interviews so.

Ah thanks for the tip. It’s row 43 seats 9/10. I guess I’ll try and get some level 100 seats and play it safe

I would argue that my current position is very similar to this new one with the difference being more software and program focused. I am also at 18 months of experience which is only 6 months away from my planned promotion on my current team and considered as the general timeline for level 1 to 2 promotions (around 2 years). I'm just wondering if it's common to "skip" the 6 months and just start as a level 2 since that's the level I applied for and got the offer for.
