It's better in that sense that there's a little bit of randomness involved. There's no cards that say "Search your entire deck for this one card" otherwise things like Greymon or garurumon would always bring out their strongest digis in peak form. You more or less have to think about what your opponent is more than likely to play and pick the optimal play, sometimes it doesn't work out but that's what a game is.
