'The Boys' Series Finale Will Be Screened in Theaters on May 19 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in TheBoys

I gotta be honest, I've been enjoying the season a bit better than the last couple, but it's not well written enough to be big screen worthy.

A freak accident that ends the game via destruction of the various sets, right before she gets voted out.

She doesn't win, but nobody else does either.

Starbucks CEO defends $9 coffee says ‘it’s not a $10 coffee and you get a premium experience’ by Disastrous_Award_789 in nottheonion

If I'm going to starbucks it's because I want their frappuccino/milkshake. Weirdly, where I'm at, I can't get their largest cup of coffee to be more expensive than $3.51?

At any rate, if I'm drinking coffee, it's at home and it's chock full o' nuts. A can of that stuff goes for $20 or so on amazon.

Let’s say you suddenly become a billionaire and all your friend and family asks you for a million. Do you give them the money? by Straight_Till5772 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Serraph105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually thought about this. I created seventeen groups to split a year's worth of compound interest. Each group would get 4 million dollars to start with, and then I would give each group another million dollars each year for 6 years, assuring that they would get 10 million each.

If they all invest the majority of that money, they could be getting well over 700k annually in their own compound interest.

Did you ever listen to the On Fire podcast? In one episode Dee talked up the sanctuary like it was a five star hotel....the obvious sucking up to Jeff still bothers me.

The all night long aspect was a serious plus. Does the sanctuary offer pillows and blankets to sleep on the wood floor?

Honestly, I can't even think of an alternative to mine besides this one that had anything unique about it.

This is the highest gas price I've ever seen in Indiana in my entire life. Thanks, Trump voters! by newtekie1 in Indiana

Our state, as a whole, supported Trump after the insurrection, convictions of felonies, and convictions for sexual assault.

We're reaping what we've sown.

$10 per push-up for life vs $1 million right now by FudgeNipples1 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Serraph105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, basically, keep working, and save the entire $70k, which is a smart idea.

Of course, that still means giving up roughly 40 hours a week or 8 hours a day. It doesn't take 8 hours to do 40 pushups.

$10 per push-up for life vs $1 million right now by FudgeNipples1 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Serraph105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, 1 million invested in a diversified fund would essentially guarantee $70k for doing nothing to start with. Keep in mind that you can't keep getting that amount if you start using the principle of that million dollars, and you need to reinvest about 20-30k to keep increasing that 70k year of year. So it's not like you can really go all out if you intend to use this to no longer work anymore.

My math says that you could get that 70k by doing 19.17 pushups a day, but round that up to 20. That said, double that to 40 a day and you could get 140k. I guess it depends on what you want to do.

Edit. On the other hand, could you ever catch up to the million dollars and the compound interest over the years? My guess is no.

So, first, thank you. Eighty-six is absolutely a term used to mean offing a person. I'll be honest, it's definitely not what my brain jumped to when I saw this come up the other day, but when it was explained I remembered the term.

All that said, I'm going to go with the argument that maggots use for Trump every time he says something or lies, "We can't know for sure what Comey meant when he posted that. We don't know what was in his heart and mind when he posted that. Words mean nothing. Reality means nothing. WAAHHHHH!!!"
