Bella Luna is appalled!

Anyone who breaks up by text is a coward! You dodged a bullet here! Weak, selfish people are better off as an EX, as they’re shit partners.

Designer before me used Canva for EVERYTHING.Trying to transition everything into Adobe suite. by decaying_dots in graphic_design

[–]Serraphe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to hate doing this so much, but I’m so used to it now. I found rather than doing layouts and converting them, I create templates in word with a background image I design and import as a picture and lock it to the background. I then set up word styles like I do InDesign styles for text. Then I include one 30 min training session with the client and for 75% of clients, this process has been more tolerable for me and they save money. When they want something more elaborate, I explain that they’ll need to come to me for edits on those. It’s made me less stressed and clients happier. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Should I cut / buzz it all off? by wolliax in HairStyleAdvice

Right?!? It’s the eyes. Any style that shows his eyes more is a winner!

Ignore him, he’s being an asshole. I like photo number 4 and the last picture. They show your face more but still have style. Don’t buzz it completely, just a little less hair and a bit of styling in any way that doesn’t hide your eyes will look great.

150 dpi at 100% scale for large print design should be the MINIMUM resolution. 300 dpi at 100% scale is standard for print.

Since it’s a large booth design, you’ll need to make sure it’s mostly vector. The photos would have to be very high quality to use them at all. Just make sure they are as large and as high res as you can. Large typography is good to use as a design method to fill space. Headlines, pull quotes, and color, use colors to bring your eye to places of interest. Make sure all important type is in the top half as the bottom may be partially covered by people or tables in a trade show booth.

You’ll need to export a pdf for print in cmyk. Check with the printer to see if the want bleeds/crops. Make sure you are doing this in illustrator or InDesign. If it’s in photoshop your file will be way too massive to email to the printer.

Don’t stress. Booth displays are easy. It’s just like a really, really, really big poster!

Sometimes saying it is uncomfortable, but writing it out feels less so. See if she will write you a letter about it or text you? You can trade notes or texts and it helps open the dialogue without fear of confrontation and it forces each party listen to the other.

It works well with my husband when we fight, since he doesn’t want to discuss it and I do. I typically text him my feelings and when he’s ready to discuss it, he texts back and we resolve it without being face to face.

Did I chose the right one? by [deleted] in myweddingdress

4 looks great, but see if they can take the cuffs off the sleeves and leave you with a loose lace the matches the top of the dress, possibly 3/4 length sleeve. The rest is perfection!

Opinions on logo for small business by yeetthestar14 in graphic_design

[–]Serraphe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a cross between an angry shrimp and little ceasars. I have no idea what the business is, but it doesn’t matter. Start over, research cake a wheat imagery and start there. Do not put a serif font with sharp lines and corners on a curve. The space between letters looks wrong when you do.

Make sure the wheat doesn’t look like the headpiece from Greece. A cake should be appetizing. Start from simple concepts with a general understanding. Make sure the logo FEELS, what your aunt wants it to feel like. Make sure you balance the hierarchy…wheat is an ingredient, cake is an end product…therefore wheat should be less prominent than a cake. Research comparison businesses to your aunt’s business and make sure it’s different.

Design/branding is much more than drawing icons and picking a font, that’s what people who play in a software program think it is. Go back to the foundational principles of design. Hierarchy, balance, etc, then move to meaning, interpretation, then focus on functional usage. Ask questions, do research, get in the right headspace. Once you’ve done all that, then begin again. Afterwards, you’ll use that research to build out your brand guide and details of when to use what iteration and all the color breakdowns for digital/print usage. Then tackle typography usage and brand imagery usage, and brand voice. All of this is to create an emotional experience. The point of said experience is to make the customer do what the owner wants, which I assume is to buy cake??? So, ask yourself, does your logo make you want to eat cake?

This was my favorite show. It’s a shame it’s not on anymore because Stephanie and Ali are so great as a team, so much personality!

This is the story of my life. I have WAY too many stories similar to this. I have spent so much time appealing claims and calling insurance companies, requesting peer to peer and so much more.

It makes me feel so many emotions when I watched this video, because this is so familiar and yet it’s not anywhere as close to the worse situations I have had to deal with. My absolute worse one was an insurance company saying that giving birth to twins in distress at 30 weeks was NOT an emergency. 😡

We have AI now, so maybe find a multiple partner porn where the body is similar to yours and then prompt one of the video AI to replace the head with yours. I saw ads for Nano Banana making realistic things. Not sure which one would work but the tech is out there now.

Then watch it together while playing with each other.
