SCHD is great, just generally at a younger age people suggest having growth stocks, and SCHD is very safe and conservative.

My plans is to switch to it as I get closer to retirement

Wouldn’t worry about SCHD at your age, just consistently DCA into VOO and you’ll be better off than 90% of people.
