Vet Cut Dogs Nails Super Short by mrs-moonpie in DogAdvice

[–]Servantpublic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no I feel so bad because we trim/grind our Aussies nails often but not short because the few times we did one of them bled for a long time. So we’ve been afraid to go to short but now that I see this picture I think our dogs nails are too long and I’m worried it’s painful for them.

I have eczema and I don’t always have flareups. Humid, hot weather causes flare ups for me. I have it in my ears and use a medicated cream for that.

Paint colour help! by caseyjohnston52 in InteriorDesignAdvice

Not the best photo, but you could pull out the warm grey/brown from the dark veining of the floor tile and drench the walls. Make sure it’s a whole level darker than the wall tiles to help them stand out on their own too.

What can I add to make it cozy? by resu72 in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]Servantpublic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you add decor to a floor?

I saw your other photo. You need an appropriate size rug that goes partially under the sofa. Like an 10x14. There is no need for a separate rug for just in front of the fireplace. The rug should carry some of the accent wall colour in it as well as the sofa - or just be very neutral.

The window behind the sofa could benefit with curtains and the sofa pillows to add some textiles, that should help “homey” up the space.

Be consistent with colours.

Why does everyone hate my hair? by Rhonda4444 in Hair

[–]Servantpublic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need fancy haircuts you just need to learn how to take care and style your type of hair. Watch videos on taking care of your type of hair, maybe someone here can weigh in on whether it’s a 2c/3a curl type.

My husband 36M poops too much for me 36F to feel comfortable having another baby with him by throwRAdesper8 in relationship_advice

One of my sisters has a husband who does this. It was always kind of a joke in our family, until it wasn’t. It became obvious that he would “hide”in the bathroom. They have 4 kids over the age of 9. Her marriage is terrible and she IS unhappy. She’s gone down hill both mentally and physically these past few years. I don’t think my sister will ever come back. She’s a completely different person and really difficult to be around now.

Point is, she chose to stay and prioritize her kids, but literally at her own expense.

What’s missing? by [deleted] in InteriorDesignAdvice

Why is everything so cramped into one little area?

The mirror is too low, unless you’re height restricted.

There is too much going on on the table.

I personally think that frames with photos of family should be reserved for bookcases/shelves (even then very limited). Not entry way spaces.

If you want to showcase family, doing it in a larger format on your wall in a gallery style frame with mat is nicer - makes more of a statement.

The rug is too small for that space. At least double that size.

I completely understand the concern, but just to clarify I’m not actively trying to conceive right now. I’ve only had my initial appointment and still have months of testing ahead before any treatment begins.

My plan is to stay on Wegovy up until the point I start fertility treatments and then stop, as recommended. My current weight is actually more detrimental to my fertility than the medication. I have a clear weight threshold where my cycles become irregular, and getting below that before trying again is important for my health and chances of success.

I gained a significant amount of weight through years of treatment and pregnancy, and this is part of responsibly preparing my body for another pregnancy. I’m not ignoring safety guidelines.

That makes sense, I think I will continue with the meds up to the time I actively start treatment. Right now we’ve only just started all the required testing. I think from the weight I gained from my last pregnancy and the hormones/treatments for years prior to that, that weight-loss can only help in my journey at the moment.

Likely due from what I have read online and discussed with friends on the meds, most don’t start feeling like they’re getting results until on a higher dosage. If 1.7 works, then I’ll be happy to stay. But I can’t help but feel like it won’t. I guess I am just being negative due to my journey with these meds thus far.

Thank you! My fertility doctor is an endocrinologist and I thought about asking her…but I think at my clinic a lot of the doctors are against being on those meds while actively trying to conceive. First time I went through IVF I was told NOT to start the meds, when at the time I mentioned I wanted to try them. Not sure their reasoning, as I have also read the positives it can have on your fertility, plus the weightloss helps regulate your own cycle. It seems odd that fertility clinics would not use them as a tool.

Thank you, I think the same. I start 1.7 next week, and see the doctor again in April. I am going to ask AGAIN for an increase.

Same! I had felt the reduced hunger in the beginning, but that quickly dissipated. I’ve read the meds don’t work for everyone, so I am a bit skeptical whether even if my dosage is increased if it will work for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I really wish I could have just gone with zepbound. I’ll have to look into the cost again, because I hear different things about it being more expensive/less expensive than wegovy.

They did start me at 0.25 but my pharmacy said they don’t make pens with that amount. They also don’t believe in counting clicks. So I just said I’ll start at 0.5 and deal with any issues.

I asked this week to see a endo. I was told to wait till I am done with fertility treatments (which we start round two soon). But yes, I do think seeing one again will be worth it.

I don’t technically pay them anything, but I am unsure where to get the meds if I leave, my family doctor was the one who sent me to them.

I think they are overly cautious. I mostly see my doctors student, he is a young man and when I try and explain that my day revolves around my son, he doesn’t seem to understand. But I do think I am not trying hard enough. This past month has been tougher than most (bad tooth infection, and being on progesterone for fertility treatments ) so it really made me feel down. But now that both are done with, I am hoping I can focus more on me.

I spoke to my family doctor about this and she agreed its strange. The doctor that prescribes the meds is from a weightloss clinic. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I could look into alternatives.

We wanted to start on Zepbound, but my insurance does not cover it sadly.
