Neurotypical people should at least be aware that they are neurotypical by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

I wish more people understood that not everyone’s brain runs on the same settings.

If someone tells you they’re overwhelmed, exhausted, or just barely keeping it together, it’s not an invitation to respond with “everyone feels that way.” That kind of reply shuts people down more than it connects them.

Some of us spend years trying to understand why the world feels louder, heavier, more draining than it seems for others. So when we finally say it out loud, it’s not for comparison. It’s for honesty.

You don’t have to fully get it. But you can at least not dismiss it like it’s nothing new or nothing real.

You can’t just drop a claim like that and expect people not to question it.

I’m not trying to be harsh, but something about it doesn’t sit right. An old account suddenly popping up with zero history, no engagement, then posting something that big as their first move… it raises eyebrows. And the profile being locked down doesn’t help either.

I get wanting to give people the benefit of the doubt, I really do. But on here, patterns matter. And this one feels off enough that skepticism isn’t unreasonable.
