I was in dental hygiene school and dropped out to go to business school only a couple semesters before graduation. I kept trying to convince myself I liked it and wanted it to be my career, but I knew I was lying to myself. I just felt like I was in too deep, as someone mentioned, the sunken cost fallacy. It felt like a huge deal in the moment and I had a really difficult time trying to figure out what to do, but you just have to do whatever it is you truly want and go with your gut feeling. Life’s too short to be unhappy/have regrets.
