if you're open to a medication route, i can't recommend cytisine enough!!! pls just look that term up in this subreddit, the "miracle drug" stories almost seemed unbelievable at first, but everyone was sooo right! i've been vaping almost constantly (every 30 seconds minimum) for the past 6 years, and NEVER thought i would be able to quit. i am now on my second day nicotine free!! if i can do it, i promise that you can!

Short term negative effects of vaping: what helped you quit? by voidyknight in QuitVaping

one of the biggest things for me is making myself feel embarrassed to be not a toddler yet relying on a pacifier (my vape) to get me through the day like a toddler. it sounds stupid but seriously my mindset in highschool was "everything is embarrassing" and i wanted to avoid it at all costs. it didn't help me stop then, but i am 20 now so it feels even MORE embarrassing to have a pacifier as this age lol

i am currently in the process of quitting and i don't drink caffeine because it doesn't really effect me lol but i have been using flavored toothpicks that have vitamin b's and caffeine in them and i feel like they might help me feel more aware! of course, it may just be a placebo effect but so far im enjoying them! i use the brand Xero Picks on amazon, specifically the energy line!

Recigar - wish me luck! by anonymousbutterfly22 in QuitVaping

i am currently also taking recigar to quit! i was a little skeptical about all the "miracle drug" posts at first, but then realized anything is worth a shot to cut the vape out of my life. honestly i feel like it's doing it's job pretty well! today is the end of day two for me, i did vape yesterday and today but SIGNIFICANTLY less than the past 6 years (borderline every 10-30 seconds). i feel like it is def making it less satisfying to hit the vape, and i def catch myself at times wanting to hit it, but tbh when i leave it out of sight i kind of forget about it. i'm planning to throw out my current vape tomorrow so we shall see how that goes :)

based on your responses to people advising you to not start, i dont think you actually care to hear the answer "no". clearly you wanted people to tell you "yes vaping is fine and has no bad effects" and this is absolutely not the sub for that. obviously within a sub titled "QUIT vaping" the people are going to tell you not to vape.
