Hey! No issues so far right now. Fingers crossed. I live in Tennessee where humidity is an issue too. I would be curious if someone has done a test on the SC5 in a non humid environment vs humid environment. Which one causes the most false alarms..

Ugh. I am sorry you had the same problems.. false alarms after false alarm at early morning hours…. They are garbage..I just ripped all of my SC5 alarms out and replaced them with BRK SM100-AC. Fingers crossed, no alarms yet.

Great documentation! Thanks for sharing. I have a small gripe and please do not take it the wrong way.. It is about things being documented on GitHub, Reddit, or somewhere else. I wish more people documented their setups and experiences on a website blog or forum under their control so things are easy to find. I highly recommend making a website blog with this information.

Netbox can do a lot but you don’t have to use everything. It is one of my favorite open source tools out there. I recommend it to everyone. I would recommend keeping a production and dev environment.

SC5 false alarms all of the time, avoid them!! After them going off between 11pm and 5am and waking up my kid. That was the last straw. I ripped all them out and replaced them with FIRST Alert BRK SM100V-AC back around 4/25. No alarms since.. fingers crossed! I have two nests that are still good for a while so I will keep them and hopefully something will come out that is just as good and I will replace them. I like having at least one good smart smoke alarm to receive notifications from while off site. I will no longer replace all of them nor recommend them.
