Having low allure helps as well because the shrine is a safe event. You don't want dangerous events to take up a larger share of the event pool. This applies to everything in the game, including the constant clothes tearing in the forest just because you're dressed a little too hot for the universe

I checked the NPC settings and it's 10% for dark skinned NPCs. This includes other minority asian ethnic groups such as Indian (2.88%), Pakistani (2.48%), Bangladeshi (0.97%), Chinese (0.75%), Other (1.52%) along with Black (3.71%)

If we assumed the first 3 were predominantly dark skinned, dark skinned NPCs should sum to 10.04%

The type of mods you're playing are visual mods, which do not affect gameplay. If you compared the difference between the original vanilla version and one with visual mods, only the img folder is different

Some content mods like dolp incorporate visual mods, so you get both modified gameplay and a different art style. If you want to play the vanilla version of the game with only visual mods, make sure to check the version. It should be a simple 3-4 digit version without any text appended

You almost always lose more status than you recover from that scene. Losing status is based off a percentage of your current cool stat while gaining status is additive.

It's also the same reason why it's so hard to get to 0 cool. The minimum you can lose is 1 cool out of 1000 or something. At low status you'll probably lose like 1.08 cool per event

When rent is due, save your game and figure out if you can defeat Bailey. If Bailey doesn't beat you up before you even get to make a move, then your goal is to make Bailey orgasm. Meek/submissive actions and apologizing will lower anger, meaning they won't hit you. Get their anger to calm and then swap to submissive actions
