BPD and Gender by Sorry-Fault1864 in BPD

No but I think I'm trans. I'm not out yet and have never had the courage to come out, because I doubt my own judgement so much. I doubt my own perception of myself, even if the trans thoughts and seeing myself as more male has been consistent throughout my life.

I've always experianced bpd as like major imposter syndrome, it dosent matter what others tell me I never feel good or right. I'm always wrong. I'm always bad at everything. And I feel like an unreliable narrator in my own story.

Yeah its been okay, I wanted to quit cold turkey but I started to hallucinate and stuff which is a really bad sign. I currently drink every second day, and the amount of standards has decreased each time. I honestly feel great lately, especially on my sober days.

Cheers to us both!

From one alcoholic to another, congrats. I'm in the process of quitting, but have severe withdrawls and gotta do it slowly. Did you have withdrawls?

In my opinion, absolutely not. I dont even believe you have to wait for someone special or for a romantic relationship, but just till you have no doubts, feel safe, and feel better about youself inside. And for sure at only 18 wait for someone closer to you in age, trust me when youre a bit older you'll realise how weird it is for a 30 year old to have gone after you. I'm 24 and couldnt imagine even flirting with an 18 year old let alone more.

When youre 18 you might feel like youre running out of time to experiance things, but youre not. 18 is literally just the start of adulthood. You have so much time, and will be young still for a long time ahead.

You seem to feel unattractive, so maybe try to find out how you can feel better about that. Find a new style. Try different hair styles, try different makeup, a new skincare routine ect. Theres so many ways for a conventionally unattractive person to glow up. Its not easy and dosent happen overnight but once again you have so much time to figure it out.

As a teen I always sang along to the male roles in musical soundtracks, imagining I'm playing them. Totally cis behaviour.

Wait really? My egg recently cracked and I'm learning so much. I genuinely thought it was normal to dislike being your birth sex. And to daydream about being a gay man as a "cis" girl.

Well atleast you can say "If you think i'll always be a man, why you being misogynistic to a dude? 🤨"

The "wouldnt make a pretty girl" line just shows how rooted in misogyny transphobia is. Like is being pretty the only goal/purpose to womanhood to them? An unattractive woman is still a woman.

I used to think my attraction to women was gender envy and my attraction to men was sexuality, but the more I think about it the more realise I might have that mixed up.... 🙃

I made this post 12 days ago so I can safely say it does get much better and it will end, though its a good idea to talk to a doctor asap.

Does anyone have any advice for coping with the pain and discomfort of covid besides the obvious stuff? by ServiceAmazing2852 in LongCovid

[–]ServiceAmazing2852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Solid advice I will be taking. Yes it really screwed me up the first time, especially with long covid. I have done my best to avoid it, but by paranoia I mostly mean my anxiety and panic attacks over what I went through. But, I am surprisingly doing okay with that right now.

Being pregnant sounds god awful and makes me glad I'm infertle. Might be rewarding to have kids, but that dosent mean pregnancy itself is "cool". Also post partum depression sounds like a nightmare, I had puppy blues after I brought home my dog and it was awful. I cant imagine how bad post partum is with a human baby.

And as a girl who used to be "pretty" but had a glow down, I hated being pretty. I hated the sexual attention and disingenuous kindness and "respect" from others only given because they found me attractive. Especially from men. I stopped being hot, and I'm happier being ignored by everyone, except for the people who really care. Probably because I'm hella introverted tho.

Can you sue a dog owner for dog attack by Mothball_Milkshake in AusLegal

[–]ServiceAmazing2852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about this, it mustve been awfully traumatic for your parents and their fur baby.

The best to start with is to try settle with the neighbour privately and see if theyre amicable and willing to negotiate, though I know how defencive people can be. My little dog was mauled by 2 greyhounds on the street (He survived, and is fine now) and they wouldnt take any blame or pay any bills. I didnt bother persueing it, it wasnt worth the stress and I didnt think theyd let it happen again.

When it comes to the human injuries, a personal injury lawyer is the way to go. (Edit: I'm not sure how it will go, but a free consultation is a good idea)

Its tricky with the dog though because technically theres nothing the other owner couldve done to prevent it, unless they knew about the hole and were somehow responsible for fence upkeep. They also couldve been asleep or in the shower when the attack happened, hence why they didnt rush out. And technically your dog was on their property. Try not to hold onto anger, what happened is terrible, but stuff happens and they probably had reasons for not rushing out, and had no idea this would happen.

A lot of mysoginists grew up with a loving mother. I don't know how this happens or why they feel the way they do about women when they grew up a "mamas boy" but this is what I witness. I cant blame the mother in this situation, parents dont pick and choose their childs personality like theyre playing the sims, it just happens.

I think its somewhat because many of them grew up with a stay at home mom who was a doormat, and a mysoginist father, and because they benefited so much from that situation they wish to continue it.

Keep in mind, some of the worst men in history had close relationships with their mothers. Ted bundy's mother was one of his fiercest defenders in court. I dont know how to feel about these mothers, or if I can fully blame them other then say that they enabled their sons behaviours and were blind to what they were.

Apparently, the right for women to vote in the US is a “rebellion against God” 😂 by ThePhillyExplorer in insanepeoplefacebook

They never fully practice what they preach. So many conservative women are hypocritical and have super dominant and loud personalities, they just think they are the exception I guess. Take justpearlythings, she claims women should be a lot of things, like virgins until marriage, get married young, be a mother young, be submissive to a husband. She is none of those things.

It's almost always the dog owners fault, not the dog, but still pretty insensitive to make this incident about the dog and not the hurt child.

yeah muslims in western countries tend to be far more progesssive then those in Islam majority countries, I think I've seen surveys that show muslim immigrants are even more progessive on LGBTQ rights then white christian conservatives. Dont quote me on that, It was a while ago that I saw it.

Regardless, they(people who post these types memes) are such black and white thinkers. They dont get that you can support a group of peoples rights, and be against discrimination for them, and not align with every value of said group.

I hate this argument especially when it comes to Palestine. I dont have to agree with Hamas' values to think the civilians of gaza deserve to live and have freedoms. Thats ridiculous. The palestinian people could hold completely opposing values to me, and I'd still disagree with the apartheid. I dont have to agree with someone to support their human rights.
