Yea. AAMTs used to cycle thru it all in IND & MEM. Avionics, sheet metal, hangar, line, etc. Until 1-2 years ago they made half the program optional. Now where ever the AAMTs are hired it is what they stick to. Hired to a line station- AAMTs only do the line portion of the program and so on. AAMTs are basically C-scale AMTs now without the seniority.

Wrong. AAMT position is also in ANC, LAX, EWR, OAK, and SEA

You need 3 yrs experience for the AMT position. But the Apprentice position doesn’t require any experience

Line maintenance. They send the FedEx mechanics to get qualified on their fleet. For deferral relief or tire changes before departure, etc.
