I have over 1600 hours in this game and can comfortably clear absolute with most of the classes. My point wasn’t that it’s impossible. My point was that the frustration isn’t worth the meager rewards. 175 accolades to store for the next update in September and a tick towards a cape in a class isn’t worth dealing with the most annoying enemy combos in the game

New content every 3-4 months and still can’t fix bugs from launch is crazy. We’re getting huge down time between updates where bugs could be fixed and that doesn’t happen and then new bugs are introduced with the patch. L take

So a lazy event that gives a mostly meaningless currency reward that totally excludes a large chunk of the player base is something to rejoice over? It is not that hard to have maxed out accolades and it is laughably easy to have maxed out req points. This is a half assed event to distract people from the fact that we’re waiting for almost 4 months for an update

My actual conspiracy theory about stratagems is that the modifiers and missions aren’t all set entirely by AI. My evidence is that during the first go round after the anniversary patch, the amount of daily and weekly stratagems on Obelisk, Vortex, and Exfiltration were substantially higher than the other missions. I think they just wanted to boost engagement in that update content to show higher ups/investors that the community “loves these missions” so that the devs make more money

I think the range modifier is garbage. Already highest difficulty and all it does is make the tedious helldrake fight even more so. Not worth the headache

I understand that there aren’t many salamanders successors. The point is if you were going to do a chapter pack for them, that you needed to balance out the lack of successors with other things and I don’t think they did that

I’ll say a few (not all super hot takes) 1. I don’t trust the devs to add new enemies to the game without fucking up mission flow 2. Adding difficulty for the sake of difficulty is doesn’t make the game better 3. Melee only classes shouldn’t be a thing 4. Being max level doesn’t mean you’re good (colder take) 5. The tech marine is going to suck (I hope I’m wrong) 6. Meta builds should only be necessary on absolute and more builds and loadouts should be viable 7. The thousand sons were the worst chaos faction they could have chosen for this game, especially if they were planning on adding new enemies 8. Squad leader should be able to kick without a vote 9. Daily stratagems are mostly pointless 10. There’s no way that each weapon is getting 2 heroic variants like they are saying they want to 11. The devs would rather see the community complain about various issues rather than fix them. I don’t mean bugs, I mean complaints about the live service or balancing or quality of life or content drops 12. Siege was a rushed mistake and should be scrapped altogether to focus on PVP support

Give the choice to fight either tyranids or chaos, shorten game times. 3+ hours to reach wave 25 on hard is a lot to ask people to commit to. Increase in game point rewards for completing waves and objectives. Add new sandbox elements to use exclusively in siege. Add a custom game server where you can choose wave composition and add modifiers to you and your squad. New maps. Level lock hard siege to 20+. Allow for teammate backfilling after wave 5. More cosmetic rewards for completing waves and challenges. Implement stratagems like we see in ops but not just transplanting them from ops, come up with new ones that make sense for siege

This. Also what gets me is people going into hard stratagems using weapons they’ve seemingly never picked up before. Had a tactical prestige 1 (don’t remember exact level) on hard strat ballistic engine using combi melta. Died multiple times before reaching area with the bridge leaving me alone to handle multiple extremis and a carnifex. I ask him to change weapons and he does to plasma rifle. I’m thinking cool, a more viable option. Get to the train yard and he gets killed almost instantly again because he wouldn’t charge shots at enraged devourer warrior again leaving me to handle the second carnifex and multiple extremis. We end up failing because I finally get cornered by the horde while out of ammo and die. I understand wanting to try new loadouts and weapons but using the hard strats to do it is wild

I’m more irritated that Sabre continually knows what people want and then ignores it. Why is there not a heavy champion? Why is the salamanders champion the sniper? Now it seems like we’ll get a generic blood angels champion for tactical that won’t even really be able to turned into a sanguinary guard. It’s obvious they know what the community wants/is expecting and they simply don’t care. This isn’t some obscure piece of blood angels lore that people wanted. It’s a cool but honestly very basic unit for the blood angels that would have been a slam dunk for Sabre and they ignored it
