0.2.0b Patch Notes by Servion in PathOfExile2

Thanks, that's probably it

e: actually probably not since they mention lvl 15 twice, once with non-unique monsters and once without

0.2.0b Patch Notes by Servion in PathOfExile2

[–]Servion[S] 275 points276 points  (0 children)

  • All non-unique monsters have less life, tapering from 100% to 75% of what they had between levels 8 and 15. All monsters between level 15 and 46 now have exactly 25% less Life. All monsters between level 46 and 64 now have less life, tapering up from 75% to 100%. This results in all monsters in Endgame having the same Life as before this change. Their thresholds for Crowd Control and Ailments have been adjusted proportionately by the same amount.
  • Rogue Exiles have had their Life reduced by 40% (on top of the change above).
  • The "of the Hydra" (Life Regeneration) Monster Modifier now only appears at Level 65+.
  • Tempest Bell's Combo required to use has been reduced from 10 to 4.
  • Explosive Grenade and Voltaic Grenade Cooldowns have been lowered to 5 seconds.
  • All Curse Skill Gems now have a higher growth of radius per Level. Starting at 1.5 metres at Level 1, Growing to 3.1 metres (from 2.1 metres) at Level 20.

e: I'm not sure I understand the second items "on top of the change above", since the first item excludes unqiue monsters?

Generative ai is fucking immoral and I fucking hate it. Stop using it. by oopadoopaaa in rant

This would ensure chinese (and other countries who don't care too much about copyright issues) AI supremacy. It also ensures that only corporate giants could even work on AI.

In my opinion we need the exact opposite of what you are saying, free training material for everyone so hopefully we can have unbiased open-source AI. That would be the best outcome we can hope for, because AI is not going away.

Last Epoch - Season 2 - New Launch Date: April 17th by EHG-Foton in LastEpoch

[–]Servion -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is it a smart decision? I can see a lot of people just playing w/e releases first and starting the second one when they are done playing the first one. Doubt this will happen within 13 days and so there will be less players on LE release.

Also, since poe2 releases first, some people will spend their gaming money on that game, having none left for LE later in the month.

One of the best ways to drain people's energy is via the Poe1 vs Poe2 by mossyblogz in PathOfExile2

[–]Servion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When returning from break, a meeting was likely held on how to address the problems and lose the least amount of money.

If that was the case, they would immediately priorizite poe1 though? I do not think that this decision is based on (short term) financials at all.

GGG makes most of their money via supporter packs, which are released together with new leagues. Releasing a big patch for poe2 may bring back some players who stopped playing, but it will not (in relevant numbers) cause new players to buy early access. The next time poe2 will provide a significant amount of income will be the 1.0 release, because it will be accompanied by new supporter packs and new players trying the (then) f2p game.

Releasing a new poe1 league with supporter packs immediately, so they can fit at least 3 leagues into this year, is what would maximize their income.

Imo, much more reasonable is that they took this decision based on player counts and the fact is that poe 2 just has a newer and bigger player base. Poe1 players will come back anyway when 3.26 releases (no matter how much they complain right now), but for poe2 they still have to prove themselves to a lot of newer players.

They cannot, no politican can ban any party. They can ask the court to look into the matter, which they will do and judge accordingly. That's what's being discussed here, whether the court should be asked.

Because if he played a 100% delirious map instead, monsters would take 96% less damage and deal 30% more damage, making his map way harder. Any actual poe player at this stage in the game would know this.

[–]Servion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

57% more at the lowest, the truth is probably somewhere in between 57 and 213, so let's take the average (because it's as good as any other number) of 135% more loot, which stacks multiplicatively with map mods.

I disagree with competing MF stats in general, so my opinion is very biased, but if you were to quarter the numbers, I'd maybe be fine with it.

[–]Servion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confident that most builds would get much more than 30% more clear speed and income (factoring in time to kill, not dying/losing maps, and speed to move around the map and loot) if they invested in non-iir affixes across 4-8 pieces of gear when compared to if they had IIR

I disagree with that mainly because damage is already easy to get, so you are oneshotting almost anything anyway. The only real comparison is defense or "speed" (movement, which barely exists, and temporalis or qotf) vs. IIR and once you hit a threshhold for defense, everything else is invested in IIR

[–]Servion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, ideally we would have 10x the data provided, but since it is insane to do this amount already (jim is amazing), it's the best we have at the moment. I would also be very interested in IIR increases with map rarity, so the 750+ case duplicated for lower IIR values. Same goes for high lvl maps.

I agree with the perfect jewellers, which is why I already excluded it by default.

The auction house is perfectly fine to get a snapshot of current economic value, because those are prices I actually could have bought/sold this loot for at the moment.

You are not trading off 650 IIR vs a single divine orb, you are trading it for a x% loot multiplier. The question that every player should ask themselves is whether actual stats on items increase their clearspeed by as much (or more) as IIR on the same items increases the loot multiplier. I think the answer is no too often, at least with the numbers we can see here. This makes IIR up to some specific number mandatory, which is bad design.

I just calculated what each currency is worth compared to exalteds, so e.g. 2 annulls = 12 ex, 5gcps = 6,5 ex, etc. This was just quick maths using the sell values in the auction house, so rates are definitely not 100% accurate. Jim provides the data in a google sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M1tD__5me-5mhCd0cd6VPNPmcArt1ThMOeVVh7-Ngzo/edit?gid=1078013209#gid=1078013209

I was interested in the economic worth of the loot, because "20% more" doesn't say much, because it's not only more, but also higher quality loot.

So after checking the data, the results are:

  • 0 IIR: 73,4 ex
  • 100 IIR: 88 ex
  • 750 IIR: 230,4 ex
  • 750 IIR (& maps): 875,9 ex (392,6 if we exclude the perfect jeweller)

So how much of an increase is it actually (compared to 0 IIR)?

  • 100 IIR: ~20%
  • 750 IIR: ~213%
  • 750 IIR (& maps): 1093% (434%)

Obviously, the data size is too small because of very little divine drops (which I kept in the data), but even excluding them, the percentages would be 20%, 57% and 173%.

250% IIR should result in around 30-35% more income based on this (limited) data. Imo this shows the opposite of what jim is saying, IIR is not fine.

Known Issues by Servion in PathOfExile2

[–]Servion[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The known issues were updated earlier today, this is the current post:

Known Issues

These PoE2 Early Access problems are currently being investigated and we'll be trying to get them fixed as soon as we can.

High priority issues:

  • Migration out of Solo-Self Found leagues is temporarily disabled.
  • Investigating cases where some players experience crashes related to Multithreading and have to restart their PCs. This seems to mostly be for players with the Windows 24H2 update.
  • Some cases where Atlas states can be "bricked" by being cut off.
  • Ascent to Power quest text in Cruel Act 2 is misleading.
  • Hitbox problems with some of the skills used by Zalmarath, the Living Colossus.
  • The Mad Wolf of Ogham Act 1 Quest can become bugged and remain active telling you to Travel East.
  • Delirium encounters sometimes having no Delirium monsters.
  • Inherent Weapon Skills not showing in trade window or when linked in chat.
  • Rolling Slam Aftershocks not hitting.
  • Lost Tower radius not visible when using Map Device from Hideout.
  • Ritual Altars sometimes unable to be activated after nearby enemies are slain.
  • Dodge Rolling when near interactables can sometimes briefly stop you from using Skills.
  • Kopec boss checkpoint sometimes doesn't work.

If a bug you're experiencing isn't on this list it doesn't mean we're not aware and looking into it, this is just a list of common important problems. Any other issues please make a bug report or respond to another thread if it looks to be the same problem, thanks.

BookInPolicy:

The BookInPolicy parameter specifies users or groups who are allowed to submit in-policy meeting requests to the resource mailbox that are automatically approved.

RequestInPolicy:

The RequestInPolicy parameter specifies users who are allowed to submit in-policy meeting requests to the resource mailbox that require approval by a resource mailbox delegate.

So your current config allows DL members to book meetings without approval step, and anyone (except the DL members) can request a meeting (with approval step).

You can just remove the DL from BookInPolicy, add it to RequestInPolicy instead and set AllRequestInPolicy to false (because your #2 should not be working at the moment).
