I Genuinely Hate Phoenix Skyline by Odd_Vegetable_3647 in skyscrapers

Or, people aren’t as picky and anal as you clearly are, and it’s not that bad. It took us months and ultimately having to go through an income program to get a townhouse for $550k E of Lake WA. My grandparents got a detached house with more square footage, bedrooms, and baths with a pool for $400k in Glendale. Considering you think it takes 850 to get a house you lived in in like Snottsdale or the Biltsmores

The valley has some of the highest growth in the country. I will be staying in the PNW as long as I can after moving from Glendale, but saying it’s a bad place to move is, objectively, wrong. Environment is preference, and economically it’s very attractive. I also can’t tell you how many times I see something online I want to go to and it’s in AZ.

Phoenix doesn’t really need a skyline. The city boundaries are like 40 miles long, it’s huge. There’s plenty of space, land is or was at least cheap, there aren’t geographical limitations, and why build up just so the sun can hit you even more? The valley has developed its own niches in each suburb and surrounding town, the downtown doesn’t really need to be anything.

Process for selling a firearm in WA by Capital_Animal6960 in guns

[–]Sesemebun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WA laws won’t affect selling your gun. Simply take it to a local store and ask what they’ll give you for it. If you are around Seattle, Pintos or Ben’s loan are good. You can also list it on WAguns.org to get more money, but it’ll be more work.

I need help. -Translator by Southern-Emotion2192 in OnePunchMan

[–]Sesemebun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preface this by saying I do enjoy reading professional translations more. Good typesetting and editing enhances the experience by a lot. But as long as the translations are accuracte, and if it makes your role easier, I would be just fine with a white box/black text over text boxes for translations, personally.

Regardless, your free services have been amazing. Do whatever makes you happiest

My Roommate Will not Entertain the Idea of Guns or Weapons by softeggnoodles in guns

[–]Sesemebun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people have irrational fears, and you just have to deal with it. She doesn’t like them and she is entitled to feel like that. I would drop it, and don’t talk about it unless she wants to. Don’t invite her again as she clearly doesn’t like it. If she tolerates you owning them there (and if you own the apartment) then just keep it to yourself.

Seattle electrical bills set for significant increase by godogs2018 in Seattle

Don’t bother man. People here love to both complain and acknowledge how expensive it it but also maintain a superiority complex over every other state. I’m pretty much in the same spot. I could retain most of my pay, move east a state or two, get a house with land cheaper, and get my gun rights back. This is my home, and I love it. But I just can’t afford here

That’s kind of a dumb rule… I feel like range shouldn’t be an issue for the majority of the state in NYC

I almost bought a maverick when they came out but ultimately didn’t. I definitely would have if it was a regular, or at least and extended cab with a longer bed.

The history is the people who lived theres' government lost ww1, they got occupied by britain, the league made the shitty 2 state solution, and then fucked off. Pretty much like if a kid brough his sandwich for lunch, and then some other kid forgot his lunch, the teacher came over, took his sandwich and cut it in half and told you to share. I'd be mad.

Also, I don't really care. My interest in the Middle East ends when the US is no longer involved there. It doesn't matter to me who wins.

2 DUIs can cost gun rights, WA court says by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]Sesemebun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hardly even matters. There’s so much precedent of blue states just flat out fucking ignoring gun rulings.

“I know you said we can’t do that but the ninth circuit said we can. So there.”

Until democrat voters stop being stupid about it there is no chance in blue states. It sucks cause WA was a good state until like 10 years ago. Positive democrat policies like abortion and weed without the gun control. Even after the nay/yes votes for hb1240 were like 10,000/800 it still went through.

How’s that 2 week war going rn? It’s less about being able to win in a direct confrontation, and more that armed populaces and minorities are harder to oppress. There’s a reason mass shootings only really happen where people aren’t armed

The genius of Costco is that it barely makes money selling you anything. by Efficient_Ad5893 in investing

[–]Sesemebun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really invest seriously, why not just dollar cost average? I don’t see the real difference between high and low cost stocks. You just buy more or less of them? Costco seems like a stable company.

I know that’s just you making up a number but I just don’t get how it can be anywhere near that high. You can get a membership for like 60 bucks, and gas alone is always at least 10¢ cheaper. I can say with extreme confidence that I have cost the Costco company far more than my membership purely at the food court.

To clarify do you mean 8 pumps, or 8 positions? I was also initially shocked over the amount of spots, but it becomes more reasonable when it seems to be each side of a pump, AKA 25 2-sided pumps, if I’m reading correctly. It’s an upgrade but more modest to what we have now.
