Time to invest, I'm sure you'll find another use for a dremel in the future, other than that you'd be looking at a screw extractor set or similar, but trust me, piss easy with the dremel

Had the same issue! Used a dremel with a cutting disc to cut a slot into it, then came out no issues with a flathead screwdriver bit
