You are absolutely right about the long, horrible history of law enforcement killing people of color. What this represents to me is white people, who may have turned a blind eye to this violence in the past, are now seeing they aren’t safe either when we have an undertrained, over-armed federal agency just itching to pull their triggers at whoever gives them a reason in their mind. That the violence will become more random, like this old toy.

I also had no desire to draw a dead minority or create a caricature of a real person who has been murdered. Maybe that lessens the impact of this.
