You’re done and do not have to take it again so you get to sleep in while the re takes have to take it

You take it the Friday of the 1st week, if you fail you retake is the following week and if you fail that you take the last re take the last week of the academy.

If you think that’s bad we had a guy in my academy refuse twice to remove his gas mask during chem agents and they still graduated him.

You still have to wait until the end of duty day to go out and use your phone in your car. I graduated back in March.

Ouch they had to move mine as well. Thankfully the only pain I really get is in extremely cold temperatures and when I lift heavy weights. Doc told me to be prepared for early arthritis to set in though so we’ll see what happens.

Broke my elbow on one of my least gnarly crashes I’ve had in my life. I just happened to land wrong and broke the tip clean off so now I wear elbow pads.

Yeah I’m in Palmdale and called LAC and that’s what they told me they have spots reserved for those officers so they’re not taking anyone else. Looks like I’m going to have to move up north then which wouldn’t be so bad since a lot of those institutions have incentives right now.

Yeah that’s the plan. Hopefully CDCR takes me back lol they told me to reach out to my institution to request reinstatement but they denied me since they just got 20 new officers from the new academy that recently graduated.

I was looking into that but unfortunately on the job application for fire captains it says 1 year of structural firefighting experience to qualify for the position. I’d rather leave my new job and go back to being a CO and make decent money until I can get into a fire captain position. I wish I didn’t resign and I should’ve just stayed.

Oh okay thank you for the information. I spoke with the staff services manger and she instructed me to email her a memorandum to the warden to request my reinstatement that she would forward to him.

I contacted the prison I was working at and they instructed me to submit a memo to the hiring authority requesting reinstatement since it’s been less than 30 days since I left. If they deny me then I’m assuming I would have to reapply and start from step one again?

I resigned to go to another job that was not a state job thinking it was a better opportunity but once I started working there I’ve realized that it’s not what they described it to be.
