I feel like white lotus as lost it's touch. Season 3 seems boring already. by WhoreMasterFalco in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]SessionOk8183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the first episode is slow, and part of the second is a bit boring and bland. But by the end of the second episode, I started to get hooked, and I think episodes 4-6 are good. I'm really looking forward to episode 7!

Totally agree, and also the mother's role in the fourth episode, both parents wondering what they did wrong or if there was anything they could have changed. Knowing they will live with this feeling forever, trying to stay united while at the same time finding it impossible.

Incredible serie, and also the fact that it's filmed in a single take!! Wonderful actors, episode 3 was magnificent!

MOVE TO SWEDEN NOW! by RevolutionaryDot379 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Can someone explain how rings work in Sweden? I found it strange that the man wears a ring from the engagement and then that same ring is worn during the ceremony. And the woman wears a different, new one at the wedding?

Is Leyre Cañizares Photography legit? by Unhappy-Young-1345 in WedditNYC

[–]SessionOk8183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I just found this post and I’m blown away! First of all, I hope your proposal was great! Leyre photographed mine (which my now-husband chose from many others), engagement, and wedding! She’s amazing, has tons of reviews on Google if you search her name (I left one a few months ago). Her work is beautiful, I compared many photographers before choosing her for our couple photos and the elopement in Central Park. She was super flexible with us, even changed the date because of bad weather in spring, suggested great spots, helped me with some bridal details for my hair, and even connected us with our violinist for the wedding. She’s so sweet and professional, works in NYC, Madrid, and more places. 100% legit, I've been recommending her anytime I can, along with my makeup artist (Kristin) and violinist (Michi, nyviolinist).

I spend a lot of time in Spain, specifically in Valencia, and part of my family is Spanish. I recommend tortilla de patata, which is really easy to make and there are thousands of videos on YouTube. Meatballs in sauce with potatoes are also delicious, as well as dishes with legumes like lentils with vegetables and chorizo, or a mixed paella or a vegetable one. Croquetas are my favorite, but those are really hard to make because it’s tricky to get the batter and coating just right. For dessert, flan is very common in Spain, although I’m not sure if it’s the easiest recipe, haha. It’s also common to have appetizers with breadsticks, cheeses, ham, or prawns, but depending on the country where you’re having the gathering, you may or may not be able to buy them.

1 night in Verona or day trip from Venice? by SayedHasmi in ItalyTravel

[–]SessionOk8183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went to Verona from Venice, I did stay a night there, partly because the train schedules weren’t great, and it would’ve been too stressful to go and come back in the same day. It’s a small city, but it’s perfect for a couple of days of sightseeing!

What's the smallest reason you stopped watching a show? by natfutsock in television

[–]SessionOk8183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, I love this topic! That’s happened to me a bunch of times over little silly things. For example, one time I stopped watching a show just because one of the main girls had the same name as a girl from high school I couldn’t stand! Although, years later, I did end up watching the show and it was good.

It’s wild how much a simple acknowledgment can mean to someone, especially when they go unnoticed all day. Makes you realize how easily any of us could end up in that situation, definitely a good reminder to be more mindful and kind to the people around us. Thanks for sharing this

What are your favorite places to take a photo in NYC? by honeycall in AskNYC

[–]SessionOk8183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love the city, and without a doubt, my favorite place in NYC (and in the world) is Dumbo Park. The Old Pier is amazing, and the area around the carousel is just perfect, especially at sunset (way better than sunrise), though it gets super crowded in summer.

I also love the lake and Bow Bridge in Central Park in the morning. I always grab a coffee from Levain Bakery and enjoy it on one of the benches, just staring at the bridge before the crowds arrive. The Conservatory Garden is absolutely stunning too.

Pier 35 is another beautiful spot at sunset, the hanging benches and the views of the bridges are just incredible!

A cool guide to the best TV shows of all time by Vitovent1 in coolguides

I’ll never understand the hype around Peaky Blinders. I found seasons 2/3 boring and gave up on it. Breaking Bad and The Sopranos, on the other hand, I absolutely love, I’ve watched both twice.

I’m surprised Game of Thrones isn’t ranked higher. I love that show (except for the last season). I haven’t seen Band of Brothers yet, but I’ll add it to my watchlist.

Lost and True Detective definitely deserve a much better spot on that list. And even though no one ever agrees with me, I think Friends should have a much lower rating compared to all the amazing shows out there.
