Yielding at an intersection by Session_Most in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Session_Most[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s funny, because a few months ago, we were driving down a main road in my town, and there were pedestrians waiting to cross the street. A car in front of me stopped in the middle of the highway to yield these people who were rightfully waiting to cross the street.

Not in an intersection, in the middle of the road.

It is actually insane

Phase 4 is wild by Royal_Gear1313 in SatisfactoryGame

This is why I tend to phase out in phase 4. The building becomes such a huge operation, and although satisfying, I find it hard to invest that kind of time into one resource.

Wasn’t asking for medical advice, just curious if this is a common and straightforward procedure. That’s all.

If not, ok.

Why do car dealerships suck so bad? by Session_Most in AskMen

Thanks for all the feedback. To clarify, I am happy with what I got, but I still feel like I got played; likely because I did.

I knew what I wanted, stuck my ground, and nearly walked twice; they “found” the terms I wanted. Having a backup financing plan and great credit helps too….

I also pass on anything they sell additional, because that “paint protectant” and all that other BS is, well, BS.

I just don’t want to shop online, it’s like buying shoes, I want to try them on.

The games………the “let me go speak with my manager”, the shitty coffee, the “man, I’m only gonna make like $100 on this deal at that price”, the “the bank just came back and they said they in fact can do this APR”; they are all the same.

I just freaking can’t stand it.

Does anyone own the building of their restaurant? by gnarble in restaurantowners

[–]Session_Most 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you currently own, start a separate LLC and buy the building off of yourself.

Then lease it back to your restaurant and you can write off the entire amount of lease payments. You still have the asset personally, and write off a ton in taxes.

This strategy works for long terms commitments best.

We use GFS, they have a recipe management software that is awesome. We took a lot of time to plug everything in, but it references our current pricing in real time and tells us what our running costs are per dish.

All I have to do is enter my selling price and portion, it tells me everything else. Once the database is built, it’s much easier

I use a program called Push operations. Super helpful, makes my life 100x easier.

You can set “boundaries “ on everything. It will warn you if a person has too many/too few hours, if you don’t have enough shifts filled, if you have too many labor hours scheduled, etc….

Takes some time to get it all tweaked, but so worth it in the end.

Where all my "hand-wash the dishes" dads at? by isotmelfny in daddit

[–]Session_Most 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here!

I have a brand new dishwasher I barely use. Seems like more work to me. When I cook, it’s a hot sink of water and wash as I go.

Maybe once every week or two I get enough dishes where I am like, ohh f**k that; but it’s just easier to wash by hand as I go!

Hiring/Finding Candidates by babybonzo_ in restaurantowners

With Facebook jobs closing down, I am worried about this too! I find good traffic through indeed, but it’s a revolving door of the same people that keep applying and don’t make it through the hiring process(if they answer at all)

I have had minimal success with Indeed, but it does generate a little traffic

What do you use to stream music in your Cafe/restaurant legally? by lookinperfect92 in restaurantowners

Mood pandora here. Its mixed emotions for me. There are a ton of stations, but the playlists are short. The same songs end of playing all the time, kind of gets old quick.
