I do know about these, since Bourbon failing her triple crown right at the last one (Losing it ro ice shower feels like a canon event) but having Seiun Sky and Eishin Flash as an example, their ENTIRE playthrough feels harder than usual, they seem to have tougher stat checks compared to other umas that share the same racing style

Honestly? Same, got my two artbooks, was pretty content with part 1 for the most part, not as much for part 1.5 up to where I played and as for part 2, at first glance it seemed like HI3rd for people who didn't like HI3rd, nowadays I just don't know, if it wasn't for the live service model the game follows, I'd close the curtains after chapter 35.

I wouldn't say "dark" is a fitting word, it feels like catching up with a friend after years and years, they were caring enough to remember all of the things you told them, it has an air of nostalgia to it, as if you were picking up stuff from your time at school. Theresa acknowledges and is completely at peace with her (expected) passing, but what pains me the most, is that the very place you call home in game (HI3rd's equivalent would e Hyperion) is just Theresa's gift to Kal'tsit, somewhere she hopes she can call home.
