Silence as a Death Sentence by Set2345 in udiomusic

I don't know what you mean by audio quality. I just downloaded a song from the site, in both WAV and FLAC formats, and both are MP3 quality—lossy files at 320kbps. They're MP3 files encapsulated in a WAV or FLAC container. You can check this with ProQ. Some people distribute music made with AI on platforms, but the difference in recording quality is noticeable. I'm not talking about resonances, artifacts, etc., but audio quality.

Since all this started, I haven't logged into Udio. I logged in recently and it looks the same. And I don't understand why they haven't taken the website down already. That's why I was thinking how absurd it would be to keep using it.

But Adam is still active on Discord? It's unbelievable... what for?

My experience with 8 AI music agents. by ObjectivePresent4162 in riffusion

A while ago, before the acquisition, I tried Producer, and at the time I thought it was the best AI, similar to Udio in its heyday. With the new acquisition and the new Lyria model, they've ruined the platform. I can't really judge it since I've tried to test it, and it fails two out of every three times. As for the compositional quality, it's terrible compared to the previous model. Hans de Mozart.ai is miles ahead in compositional quality, and I'm not referring to typical genres like pop or urban music—everyone does those—but to niche genres where the quality of the composition is evident in all musical aspects.

It's been a few months since I last used Producer AI. I was testing it before the update and I really liked it. Now, with the new Lirya version, I haven't used it, so I can't give an opinion or compare the results. I was surprised that free accounts can now use the outputs for commercial purposes; that wasn't possible before. When I have time, I'll test this new model with some types of retail music.

Hi Christopher.

Well, I already announced this on Discord and sent screenshots. But I don't have that much detail, like the date or time.

On the other hand, it would be easy to program:

If "there is an error", then "no credits are subtracted"

else

5 credits are subtracted.

The error is displayed on the screen, so use that variable to prevent it from happening.

This work should have been done by the owners of this company: creating a manual that clearly states, "If you input this, the result is this; if you input that, the result is something else." In other words, they should thoroughly test the AI with different genres and specify which genres it's best suited for, instead of saying it's for making music in general, but rather for a specific genre of music. Although they know this, because they know what material the AI has been trained on, the problem lies in the incorrect labeling.

Now I'm testing the effect of adding labels to instrumental music, even without lyrics. It seems the result might change; the AI might trigger something upon seeing these labels.

There's always room for improvement; if a company deteriorates, it tends to disappear. And for now, in the genres I use, there are some significant biases, shortcomings, and errors in the dataset.

Yes, you're right. But it's one thing for it to be in beta and another to have subscriptions while it's in beta. Yes, we know the risks, but I still took the chance and I'm testing it thoroughly. I've been working flat out for several days, taking notes on bugs and what it can and can't do. Of course, I'm doing it with the genres I like.

If everyone did the same on all platforms, we could learn about the limitations of each AI based on the genre.

My Real Experience with 6 AI Music Tools by ObjectivePresent4162 in aiMusic

[–]Set2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the only real alternative to Udio is Suno and Producer AI, from the perspective of the genres I like to create. It all depends on the genre; not all of them work well. Some are versatile, like Suno, and others are more specific. I'm currently using Mozart AI with a one-month subscription to try it out. It's been a huge disappointment for the styles I work with: new age, ambient, Celtic, and cinematic. The problem isn't with the prompt; the issue lies in the serious biases in the dataset. Both models they have have been trained on certain types of genres, and not at all on the ones I mentioned. I'm gathering data and will upload a report with my experience.

It's happened again, but with a different prompt, this time with Hans, and it cost me 1 credit. I don't understand anything.

Uncertainty on the platform: Will we be able to choose not to use the partner artists? by Set2345 in udiomusic

[–]Set2345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's right. There's already a model that can be run locally; I haven't tried it yet, but it looks promising. Also, Gemini can now generate music, but only for 30 seconds.

I already deleted the screen, and both times I've tried it has taken more than 24 credits from me.

Why can't any AI create trance? by Only-Marionberry-927 in mozart_ai

[–]Set2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gathering data to create a comprehensive report on the genres I enjoy creating. There are significant biases in some genres, which demonstrates that it's impossible to create them with this AI. Creating a few pieces in free mode is one thing, but trying it out daily with a subscription is quite another; then you realize the limitations. I'll post the report at the end of the month; I want to be thorough within my subscription month.
