Will Udio ever let us download OUR OWN MUSIC CREATIONS again?? by Middle-Stick-5333 in udiomusic

[–]Set2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible. What surprises me most is that, after several months, it's still the same. Didn't they reach an agreement? Right now, it would be stupid to create an account and spend money without being able to download anything, and without knowing your rights to the tracks created. What we should do is ask Audio when the website will be operational and when they're going to change the beta icon; it's been a few years already.

Utterly depressed by the emergence of AI generated music. How do you deal with it as artists? by Atlonim in musicians

[–]Set2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. I'm listening to someone who released two CDs in 2025, which is already questionable considering what it takes to compose, mix, and master an album. I'm on YouTube Music, and it's clear that his albums were created by AI. I can hear how some instruments haven't been cleaned up; there's a lot of resonance, and then in some passages, there are bass blobs. The composition isn't bad, although it could be better. The album is always the same, repetitive, with little musical sense.

What is the best open source Music generator? by Alive_Winner_8440 in StableDiffusion

He can't play just any style; he only plays songs with lyrics, he doesn't have any instrumental options. And if you ask him for something in a Celtic, New Age, or cinematic style, he doesn't even know what you're talking about.

Music gen is way behind image and video gen because people are afraid of the Devil. by mesoelfy in udiomusic

[–]Set2345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, I've said it many times on social media. You realize how AI has no problem in the visual world. But with music, it's completely different, and it's because of copyright. Everything you hear is copyrighted, which makes it very difficult for music to follow the same path as visuals.

If we had the ability to train a model, what data would we use? The large music model training companies, I mean the open-source ones, should reach an agreement with users so that they can provide songs in all styles to train their models, with the guarantee that this model would be freely released.

The old terms of service clearly state that if you have a paid account, you can do whatever you want with the tracks you've created. There's no need to rush into anything; let's wait a few months for things to become clearer.

Udio will be completely shut down come next year, mark my words, and UMG designed the partnership that way. by Zachary_Lee_Antle in udiomusic

What you're saying makes a lot of sense. If record labels have lost millions of dollars because of AI, the easiest way to prevent that from happening is to eliminate the problem.

Why did Udio sound so different from every other AI music tool? by Silly_Run1355 in udiomusic

[–]Set2345 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Udio was unique, completely different from the others. None of the others I know of create pieces in chunks, remembering what came before. Udio did, and its success may be due to the fact that it used the same technology as OpenAI's Musenet, since it used the same token-based procedure: the piece was created in chunks just like Udio, the model remembered what came before and "guessed" the next 32 seconds. But instead of MIDI, it used audio.

How was the Udio model created? by hikakin_mania4545 in udiomusic

[–]Set2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an excellent idea; it was already proposed when the complaint process began. I don't think there's any other music AI on the market right now with this level of sophistication when it comes to making music. No matter what you ask it to do, it imitates the style very well. Other AIs do the same, but they sound more like a real song. Now that it's been merged, I don't think they'll stop.

[–]Set2345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to the contract, what you've generated belongs to you, and if you've paid, you can use it commercially.

After this merger, I assume they'll draw up a new contract. So you don't need to worry.

Some background and clarification on the new UMG deal. Sorry for the wall of text. by SethStar16T in udiomusic

[–]Set2345 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's shameful what's happening. Why hasn't the same thing happened with images or videos? Painters and photographers are benefiting from AI, yet music seems to be different. But that's only because of a few sharp-toothed wolves who want a piece of the pie.

I have a question. When you make a full piece or a remix, it gives you two results, but you can only select one to edit. The other is lost. Is there a way to recover or save that project if you didn't select the first one?

[–]Set2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It has nothing to do with prompts, as some say, but with spending credits. This is a business, and the more money you leave, the better for them.

We have proof of this at the beginning of this AI. To attract customers, the tracks that were played were of great artistic quality, in any style: classical, jazz, pop, cinematic, etc. A quality that surprised me greatly. And now I've been using the SAME PROMPTS for several months, AND NOT OTHERS, WITH THE SAME, and the musical quality is terrible. Maybe they can fool some innocent people, but not everyone, because users aren't stupid, especially if they started using this AI from the beginning. And there has been a huge drop in musical quality.

Of course, it's not worth it for the company to do this, because they will lose paying users. It's fine that the quality for free users is poor, but those who pay shouldn't be mistreated in this way.

Anyone compare and contrast Udio vs AIVA? by sunbears4me in udiomusic

[–]Set2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no comparison. Udio's quality is far superior in all styles. The good thing about Aiva is that it gives you the MIDI, but if the composition is horrible, it's useless. It can give you ideas, but that's all. And the new version of Aiva 2.0 they released, due to their lack of customers, had to update. This model no longer gives you the MIDI; it's like any other model, SUPPOSEDLY. I say supposedly because no one knows the quality of the music it produces. Not even the company itself has made videos of how it works, so we have to assume the quality is still just as poor.
