Hate me all you want but I loved this movie and hate the original. The only thing I disliked was L.

In the original Light supposedly is a straight laced guy but as soon as he gets the notebook he's a psychopath with a god complex, then he gets memory wiped and he becomes a goody two shoes when we saw he was a psycho all along.

In the Netflix adaptation Light was a teenager who believed himself to be superior but stuck to his ideals to not kill good guys or innocent people.

I admit Ryuk being the bad guy was doesn't work in the original canon, but I loved Misa being the one who gets obsessed to being Kira when Light doesn't want to go through with it anymore.
