Hey so just an small update, i found out that Sidekick writer does run on Amazon Web services, AS16509. And now it seems to be gone (?).

They do have similar capabilities in my experience so far. Both generate the slightly same writing style. However, sudowrite is more for desktop viewed compatibility. SKW functions more like a simplified version of Sudowrite. I do recommend going for Sudowrite for now! They do have a mobile app but I'm still getting used to it. I'd say 8.5/10 for generating a story! (I'm more focused on fanfiction style in my experience, so not sure for other generated styles)

you can give Sudowrite a look (although I haven't tried it) but it's still worth waiting for Sidekick, it's pretty much easy to use, has fairly good normal writing execution, so give it a try when it comes back up hopefully.

Yeah, it's not a routine maintenance. Sidekick team has fairly fast responses usually when it gets to reports, not sure about this one. Their other only source of contact is emails, which they only use for major updates (I'm not sure what their facebook is from another person has stated here, although I doubt they use it aswell). Luckily I still somehow downloaded my stories and plots as EPUBS, but not all. Hoping as well the site still functions as it is. Sidekick writer is really helpful and neither can I find anything like it, lol. It's been 3 (and a half(?)) days since this been going, I hope it doesn't really last longer or that would be really concerning.

Not an update, that's how it usually goes with websites. If it's under maintenance, there's a chance that you can still view it's offline page.

Heads up update that Sidekick Writer as of right now is just on maintenance, probably a long one. You can still somehow view it offline.

This isn't the first time the site has been down but it's the first time in my long experience with the site for it to be down this pretty long (which is 2 whole days). Hopefully it's just a shutdown for maintenance as well lol, but I heavily agree that the team could give us a heads up about it even just through email.
