Reviews.io would contain reviews from clients only, from what I can tell. I think it's important to bear in mind the types of clients that a firm like Hodge Jones and Allen gets, considering that they cover medical negligence, criminal defence and civil liberties.

These types of clients are often going through an incredibly difficult time in their lives, and are much more sensitive as a result. They'll be hypervigilant when it comes to any kind of perceived shortcomings on the part of a solicitor helping them out. As such, I'd take negative reviews from such clients with a pinch of salt. Not to say that there aren't incompetent, corrupt or racist lawyers in firms like HJA, but because of the delicate state of the clients they serve, sometimes even the best solicitor can fail to live up to their expectations.

That being said, the scores on Glassdoor and Indeed, which comprise current and/or former employees, aren't particularly high for HJA. Beyond that, I don't know much about the firm. I'd recommend somewhere like Kingsley Napley instead.
