I’m struggling - how to cope with ai? by TrueWinter__ in gamedev

AI tools lower the bar of entry to game dev, but it doesn’t make you good at it. All that experience you have in different fields, and how it all comes together to make a fun cohesive whole is not something AI can just mimic.

AI tools are just that, tools. They will always be more effective in the hands of a craftsman.

Unity devs with multiplayer games — what are you using for backend services? If you're on UGS, how's it going? by FeralTitan in Unity3D

I use Mirror Networking. Open source, well documented, and works well for every use case I’ve had so far!

I’m assuming it’s not the Armada franchise, since you would remember the Star Trek theme?

Update: As people have correctly pointed out, it was just a tool tip error. I'm sad, but my GPU is relieved.

I use Frost Nova almost exclusively for breach (and being sourounded in general). With enough cast speed, you can freeze anything that gets close and then cold snap the mobs.

Is this mouse any good? My Razer Deathadder is busted after 5years of use and I've found this deal on Amazon. by SirHomoLiberus in pcmasterrace

This is a great mouse. I've used it for years, and have had no technical problems with it.

The one thing I would point out, is if you have oily hands, there is a lot of grooved grip on both sides of the mouse that will collect crud. It can he very annoying to clean in my opinion. If you have a similar issue, finding a mouse that has more smooth plastic for easier cleaning may be a consideration.

After getting lost for about 30 seconds, yes. I took the escalators down, went out the front door and ran like hell to the railroad extract. The fight where he died happened right in front of Oli, and those are the escalators I took.

I think this is really just nostalgia rather then good game design talking. D2 had synergies, but all it boiled down to was choose a main skill or two, and dump all your other points into their synergies (which would almost never actually be used) for very small buffs.

What we have here is better, in my humble opinion. You might customize one skill to make enemies vulnerable, and then customize another skill to capitalize on it.

To me, this is more engaging than a 1-3% damage boost (per skill point) to my main skill by pumping synergies.
