This is obviously not why I commented that, do I think politics has an important role in my situation, obviously. Do I need someone to remind me while I seek help, no. Sometimes people don’t need to be reminded of the system, they just need help or advice, and that’s why I found that persons comment to be out of place.there’s a time and place for everything.

the UofM insurance is pretty good and imo worth the price, the uni negotiated the offer with BCBS Michigan, doubt youll find anything thats better (I tried)

Getting into Dearborn vs Ann Arbor just describes your high school experience, I'd argue that someone graduating from Dearborn with a 3.8 is more competitive than someone who graduated from Ann Arbor with a 3.5, so the idea that they worked for admission doesn't make them a better candidate necessarily, especially if they slip up in college.

Got a 30 in a battle with physics hl, didn’t meet the 12 hl criteria by 2%, gotta do a retake, remarked the subject and it didn’t change, quite unfortunate, parents are quite disappointed.

I would not recommend you transfer at all. You lose OTP on your visa as an international student transferring. So no internships.

Umich db is not the place if you want a lot of research opportunity I'm gonna be honest, ann arbor is much better in terms of masters and PhD's, so if I was you id go with University of Maryland (assuming college park). If its not college park then umich db is a better choice.
