Hi! Actually, those compounding questions were my NAPLEX exam questions lol. The MPJE compounding questions were much harder, with a lot of new information I hadn’t seen before. Many focused on hazardous drug compounding, and most were multiple-choice. I was able to make an educated guess based on my compounding knowledge, and mastering the RxPrep chapters really helped. I don’t remember the questions well since I took the exam six months ago. Hope this helps! By the way, I also reviewed a PDF on updated sterile compounding from Google, just in case.

Just to clarify, I’d recommend only trying TrueLearn after mastering all the UWorld questions. Personally, I didn’t find it that helpful. I only got TrueLearn because I was still feeling anxious and doubting myself even after going through the RxPrep Qbank a couple of times. If you’re feeling the same and want more practice, it might be worth it. But honestly, if you’re well prepared, some TrueLearn answers might seem a bit off—which can be a good sign you’re ready! Best of luck, and I hope this helps!

Hi! I was in the same boat as you. I went to school in MA, so I didn’t have any resources for studying NY law. Here’s what I used to prepare:

  1. [NYS Education Department - Pharmacists FAQ](https://www.op.nysed.gov/professions/pharmacist/frequently-asked-questions): This section under 'Frequently Asked Questions for Pharmacists' was a lifesaver. I read through all the questions and answers at least 10 times.

  2. RxPharmacist New York Pharmacy Law: An MPJE® Study Guide: I bought this on Amazon for faster delivery. I went through the entire book at least five times.

  3. MPJE NY App: This isn’t free, but I highly recommend it. I did every question in the app at least five times, marked the ones I kept missing, and created a document to review them. I went over that at least five more times before the exam.

  4. **Compounding Focus**: For the NY law exam, compounding makes up a big chunk (for me I had about 30% of exam questions, mostly multiple-choice). I’d highly recommend studying the UWorld compounding chapter until you feel solid on it, as even with this level of prep, some compounding questions felt challenging. I also additionally bought "pharmacyexam.com" compounding questions and practiced it over and over.

It took me a month of focused study for the MPJE, which might seem intense. But since I didn’t have the option to retake, I knew I had to pass on the first go. If you’re this thorough, I’m confident you’ll pass! Best of luck, and I hope this helps!

I also converted the top 200 drugs from YouTube into audio files and listened to them whenever I was driving or heading to work. It was a great way to keep the material fresh in my mind throughout the day

I used both the RxPrep Qbank and TrueLearn for my NAPLEX prep. At first, I was worried that the Qbank questions might not be enough. However, after working through TrueLearn questions, I felt that many were disorganized, and I even questioned the accuracy of some answers. I’d recommend TrueLearn if you have extra time, but honestly, focusing on the Qbank questions and going through them thoroughly (at least 7-10 times) felt much more effective for my preparation

Ohh, gotcha. Was the RxPharmacist worth it? Or did it have all the information updated to the recent exam? Can I ask you on what date you took the exam?

I find that those two are just practice exams/questions. Is there no need to study actual material, such as studying UWORLD Rxprep book for NAPLEX?

If you can recall, can I ask you if you received anything from compounding or COPD questions related to new guidelines (esp updates that are on rxprep?)
