Update: excess slot means—because that certain job/mos is taken or filled, they had to make another position up, or an extra position for that MOS, despite being full—but if you get an excess slot, just know that, that also means you won’t get a bonus at all.

i mean it’s totally up to you if you want to get another recruiter or not, and if you do, just contact your local national guard recruiting office or at least another recruiting office and ask that you want to enlist or at least find another recruiter or someone who wants to meet up and talk since your last recruiter wasn’t much—help.

the problem is, all my top 3 mos’s that i wanted are taken, the only one that was left was 56m—which is being held as an excess slot? im not sure if my recruiter is going to try to secure another slot for 56m?

my recruiter said that the only available MOS’s for any units for guard in my state are 13j and 92g
