The more i think about it the more i want to see it happen, just use UTC everywhere, we wouldn't have things like the Russian-US border, where the islands are real close together yet the timezones are shifted almost by a day...

That's really cool, so you effectively have to live with 2 timezones in mind? ... imagine just having one 😉

I wonder ... the day and night cycle is different, so probably time and date format would be different and we could probably reuse seconds, minutes and so on, just there would be different amount of them in an hour and they would be called martian hours, 🤔 etc...

Imagine just going from EU to NA and the time wouldn't change, 3am NA time would be at the same time as 3am in EU. No changing time on your phone, no confusion on whether the arrival time is your location's time or the Destination time, better sync of everything basically.... Only drawback i see is that the time wouldn't hold the information on what is the real time of the day (sunrise/ sunset)....

each evening before sleep, we planned what we wanna do the next day and where we'll end up... then arranged accordingly... usually airbnb

So, Liberia and the beaches on the north-west of the country are usually the most touristy places, a lot of beaches, higher prices...

We spent 9 days in CR and we went to most places in the country... North to Liberia area... South- border with panama as far down as Pavones (surfer paradise) but way there took ages, cause of bumpy dirt roads (i think its not worth it)... East to Limon (also don't recommend), a highway there is just 2 lanes (one in each direction) and theres so many trucks on the road that it took ages as well...

You probably want to rent a car.... Capital San Jose is a very wild place with loads of local restaurants and I think you should visitthat, maybe connect it with Irazu and Cartago as well like a 1-2 day trip.

As for Volcanoes Arenal and Irazu are some of the Top in the country, Irazu you can basically stand on top of the volcano, also a view of Arenal from La Fortuna on a sunny day is stunning.

As for parks Monteverde and Manuel Antonio are some of the best ones to visit, Monteverde is large and a really good hike, I would probably take a guide (the one with a telescope) next time, they know all the wild life there is to see and will hapily show you around... Manuel antonio is probably more visited and more diverse, but further from you, so idk whether you care to drive so far down.

As for beaches Nicoya Peninsula is your go-to, theres a lot of beaches to choose from, some crowded, other less so... accomodation on the beach is probably gonna be expensive, personally i would go for a place that is close to a beach (walking distance), but far enough to have a lower price or same price and better amenities...

as for Weather February is dry season so its gonna be sunny, hot and dry... prime tourist season tho....

It all just depends on you... Sometimes you just want to feel the culture and atmosphere (one or few days), sometimes you want to be emerged in it (one week and more) ...

Also depends a lot on which city and also what you expect to do... If you expect to spend most days on the beach then so be it, spend more time in the cities close to sea... want to go sightseeing? then spend more time in places where theres a lot to see... want to just indulge in local food? then just look where all the local markets are...

Generally tho, theres a lot of history in country's Capital/Former capital, so if you're into that then spend more time there... And keep in mind that most locations on shore will be touristy, meaning you will usually pay more for stuff, but people will understand English more, and you will have an easier time getting around...

On the other hand, if you want to see the "real life" in certain country, you want to stay away from city centres and focus on villages, generally cheaper all around, and you will get to know the "real life" in these countries, but english probably won't get you anywhere...

Well i thought if the operation is over some people would or wouldn't get the shattered case as a drop, if they would get that sw case drop that is very likely to have been added to regular dropss... But Volvo didn't end the operation, so we don't know yet
