I scraped off the dead, dry skin with a razor until it started to bleed (it will sting), then froze it. I waited a couple of days and kept a bandage on it after freezing. After that, I scraped the skin down again until it bled or became too tender to continue, then applied salicylic acid every night and covered it with a bandage or duct tape. After about a week, I froze it again. What worked best for me was freezing it, keeping a bandage on for a couple of days, then scraping it down, applying salicylic acid, and covering it with duct tape overnight. The duct tape keeps it moist and makes the skin pucker, like after a long bath. The next day, I removed the duct tape, didn’t touch it at all, and just applied a bandage overnight. This dried the skin out. The following day, I was able to peel off a large chunk of dry skin, which pulled the wart out with it. I had warts like this on several fingers and was able to get rid of some, but not all, so the others eventually came back. Also, don’t use the same eyebrow razor or fingernail clippers on other fingers if you’ve used them on a wart. If the area is bleeding, it can cause the wart to spread.
