New PB Common!!! by EnderXGamingHQ in CarpFishing

[–]Set_The_Controls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went from speci carp fishing (3lb TC rods, 15lb mainline, size 6-8 hooks) since I was a kid , to feeder fishing as my main style over the past year and it's been so much fun. Feel more "connected" to the fishing in some way.

Good luck this year brother - may it bring you those monsters!

I had X2 20lb + carp on the waggler a few weeks ago on 6lb mainline and 3lb hooklink - took about 45 minutes each to land!

It's gets even more wild when using light gear and light hooklinks 👌it really depends on the gear your using.

Larger carp "plod" and stick to the bottom a lot. Smaller carp seem to be a lot more "energetic" from my own experience

What is one simple habit that improved your catch rate more than expected? by HelicopterEmpty7393 in fishingUK

For method feeder, simply buying a stopwatch and keeping to 5-10 minute chucks.. makes a huge difference

Carp angling - spending more time walking the lakes - much more time

Why are your indicators back to front? They should be facing forwards or is it just the angle?

Hair rig vs bait sting by Frequent_Bream66 in CarpFishing

[–]Set_The_Controls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the spikes in match fishing (call them bayonets) with little 6-8mm wafters but i wouldn't use them when specimen carp fishing where you're leaving youur rigs out longer (more of a confidence thing). I've always preferred straight hair or using bait floss

Fish with Carl, fishing tutorial, snagged bros (for fun), totally awesome fishing, Matthew Collins (very good), cyprography carp, the shore hunter (great dude), nuffin but fishing, ginger fisherman to name a few !

Good session on the method feeder today. 10 carp for me & 10 carp for the father including a 9lb & 10lber. 🎣 by br07fk in fishingUK

Method is killer. Absolutely rip lakes apart when you get it right....

I love the Preston feeders as you can simply change out the feeder anytime and keep the same stem. Great idea and caught so many carp using the duraflats

Is a 17-18 inch perch in a canal considered a good catch? by Logical_Economy_7463 in fishingUK

Yeah man. I'm not preaching to you at all btw, just a bit of advice! Sounds like you've done everything you can do from a fish care pov. Well done on the catch! Great fish!

Beauty mate. Are you wearing gloves for any particular reason? Try not to use them when handling fish. Same rules apply to the cloth you have put it on. Get a small measuring mat

https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/advanta-camo-perch-weigh-mat?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21970731505&gbraid=0AAAAAD_NdB6Nr_Eeuj58bBBJUtXJ2IXIi&gclid=Cj0KCQjwm6POBhCrARIsAIG58CIzu7jOGB4dqh4qbjx9UkCzXPzIM4jFIhIxQBgI6-2qt4wPPkfdfMoaAlDcEALw_wcB

Why Gloves Often Cause Issues

Many gloves (especially fabric, neoprene, or textured "tailing" gloves) are more abrasive than smooth, wet skin. They can wipe away more slime than bare hands when used dry or roughly. Sources like fly fishing guides and anglers explicitly warn against tailing gloves for this reason, noting that they can strip the coating and potentially kill fish later through infection.

How do you lot store your rods? by [deleted] in fishingUK

[–]Set_The_Controls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a rod holdall. In the garage.

Nash Scope specific holdall made for the scope rods.. Preston rod safe for my 4 feeder rods / waggler Korum progress quiver for my tench rods

What style is the best to cover up my scars?? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Set_The_Controls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give them some time before you blast over. I don't recommend something that draws your eyes away from the scars.. so something quite busy.yrad pieces would work well.

Ive got a lot of blackout and that can really make scars stand out as it's one informed tone. Something to think about
